Zero One

I would first like to point out that your doors aren't set up correctly. The hatches shouldn't appear below the door. This can cause graphical errors, but I'm not sure what's causing that error. Fixing the doors are a good way to start, because you'll need to do that anyway.

Have you messed with the room's size at all?  If so, check through Grime's guide here, and look for anywhere that you may have strayed.

No, I have not messed with the size of the room. one of my doors in the previous room was not set up right. I fixed it, but its still got that darn GFX glitch :/

That definitely looks like incorrect door data setup to me.

I having already saw this kind of bug. Staying on my first idea, a scroll error.

Look, I tried a small experience on my own hack.

Room A

Room B


In room A, I had changed the scroll to blue (originally blue, but i placed a (S) PLM scroll to turn to green when crossing elevator to the down, so consider this is green). So changed here to blue, and when you go to the Room B under the A, we find the same kind of glitch. I don't know if I am very useful, or if I misunderstand you, but try to turn to green scroll block the block containing door squares leading to your other room.

If this is not an scroll error, this is maybe an error on scroll pointer into your door code, or as said Metaquarius, another door data error.
I know I'm annoying, but can you show captures of rooms to see scroll blocks?

UGH this IS REALLY FRUSTRATING! THIS PROBLEM HAS PURSUED ME FOR A LONG TIME. I just simply tried changing all the scroll's containing doors to green, and that didn't work [of course it didn't]. What value is your S PLM set for? and did you set it under the elevator? Above it? on the side? Maybe you could give me more specific screenshots. But why would the problem pursue me before the elevator room? If I'm having a door data error, please be specific and make it a simple explanation, for I am a simple person. And I kind of dislike it when you guys just direct me to a thread, because I don't know WHAT exactly may be causing this, even though you tell me WHERE I should look :/. I can't remember who's it was, but I had looked at a door moving video so I know how to set up doors, and I haven't really failed at it yet, which is surprising. The only other thing I can think of is a door data error, and if this is really the case, what should I change on my pointer's to fix it? I don't remember messing with the door data at all. Can changing the palette cause this?

I had a similar problem. It could be caused by a PLM being offscreen. Select the option to move all PLMs to screen. If any show up, move their position so SMILE recognizes the new location, and save the room. Simple as that. (If that is indeed the problem.)

I will show you specifics screenshots, but I'm very too busy in this time and I will update this post soon.
For the moment, I can say you that the index of plm is High : 96 Low : 58 I believe (Plm is used on 1x1 scroll block elevators room, for exemple these of Crateria leading to Brinstar, activating scroll to green), and I have placed it just a square under the elevator 0000 door squares. Yeah, I'm not very clear, I understand that your problem is very frustrating but I think we can find solution.

I took a classic elevator room. (Sorry, I don't understand why plm dont appears)
Look at the scroll, it must be green to works correcty, so this PLM is used to do it. I havn't many knowledges about index of PLM scroll, but If you want make a 1x1 bloc room, use index of any plm of classic 1x1 elevators.

Now, if the problem comes BEFORE the elevator room, don't forget that a scroll MUST be green in the scroll block containing a door leading to DOWN way. Notice the room where GFX starts to glitch, if you still don't find a solution, you should follow Metaquarius's advice and post your patch for somebody test it and propose you a fix.

Found this picture on your GFX Glitch topic, if this picture is the first room where glitch starts, check the previous room over this one, and turn to green scroll block leading to this elevator room, it could be works!

No.  Metaquarius is likely suggesting that if you want a fix for your error (which seems so, as you've mentioned it a lot), then you could always ask somebody to take a direct look at your hack via an .ips patch.

Grab lunarIPS from the tools section on the main page and then it's pretty simple. select make a patch, choose a clean rom to use for comparing, then choose your rom, and it'll make an ips.

Thanks, Shadow, and I'm sorry for being lazy. I've got a question currently that I can't hold on to anymore....how in the hell do all of you live close enough to one another to be able to just drive over to the person's house, then be able to help them with their metroid hacking?! HOW! I'm not really mad...just sort of....surprised that you all live so close to each other. Anyone who lives in Michigan, Moline or Wayland...or even Fremont? This is how I feel when I learn all of this;

lol I find that funny what you said about the troll sig...but for some reason my sig. isn't what it should be, it's repeated 3 times for some odd reason :/

If anyone comes to question why I locked my topic, or unlocked it so soon....it is because I've had nothing to showcase, and I decided to lock it for no particular reason....I don't know why now :<_<: I have attempted to change the color of the maps before, and tried to use Kejardon's map fix for things like putting text in the map, so when you use a map station you can see it, and, like other hacks, will explain some sort of a storyline so you know what the hell is going on. But anyways, right now I really want to know how to change the color's of my maps, and I've tried before, but it still didn't change it when I used the drop down menu for the map editor. I hope this doesn't require a lot of coding and re-coding, because currently, I am really bad at it, and sort of angry about the fact that I need to know a bunch of stuff so I can change what the main menu looks like. Look at Red_monk_called_key's menu! That's flippin' metroid-tastic! I want to be able to do something like that.

I've tried to change the color of the map using SMILE so the map color's will change in-game. How can I do this? I just change the color but it doesn't make a difference.

For changing colors of mini map you can change pink and blue colors in graphic editor, in the first line of the palette (0). Now if you want to change color into the map screen, I think it's possible but I don't know if you need to edit it with TLP. Sorry if I can give to you a complete help, but I'm sure someone here can be more useful than me. :)

No offense or anything, but I already knew that, unfortunately, it also changes the power bomb door :S. I want to change the map without changing the color of a bunch of other things! That's what I am asking. I can change the color with the map editor, but it does not seem to make a bit of difference.
