I noticed there are several places in the game where you have to use the quick charge glitch to charge up a shinespark, i was really confused as to how to get these items for a while and i had to look up how to do the glitch. For those of you that don't know how to do it, just take one step forward then hold down the run button and you should just barely be able to charge one up. (it's a lot easier than i thought it would be)

QuoteAnd yeah, feel free to keep reporting errors. =)
Will do, here are the ones i was gonna upload earlier.
Here are 3 more places where you can get stuck in the room geometry. (but not permastuck as far as i can tell)

The item placement dot on the map here is 1 higher than it should be.

stuff like this really isn't a big deal, but if it's easy to fix, i'd say go for it.

Speed Booster is in Deep Ice, though you may want to look for another entrance into that area than your "normal" one.
Well, I'm still baffled as to it's location but searching helped me find wave beam. I'm kinda annoyed how speed booster is still eluding discovery...
Ok, I hate to beg, but I CAN'T FIND IT!!!! Can I get a slightly more precise hint please? I have like 4-5 entrances to Deep Ice, none of them have any items other than ones tat require speed booster...

I am sad to report that this game does not work on my SNES emulator on my DS.

On a side nore, the IPS also creates an incomplete bank

1. the DS SNES emulator is shitty at best.

2. Either you tried to do EXACTLY what I wanted to prevent or you're looking way too much into stuff. :/
But yes, it makes a new bank.
1. I agree that SNEmulDS is pretty shitty (and dead).
2. The only reason I looked into it is because the game wouldn't run on my DS with an incomplete bank. I know exactly WHY you did this, but It's something I had to correct to get it partially running.

Either way, good work.
You have to enter from the very top of surface grove and then it's hidden someplace inside deep ice up there.
Now time to try to remember where that was exactly =P Thanks.
not that anyone gives a shit, but i did find my way.  kinda funny, i was about 2 minutes from opening up smile, and i magically walked into it.  it was weird. it was in a room i had been through about 15 times and inspected thoroughly.  all the last times, i killed all the monsters and nothing happened. this time, i killed the 3 side hoppers and a door started flashing.  i don't know why it didn't happen earlier, maybe doing something somewhere else triggers it?  who cares, i can finally progress again.

love the angry, red kirbys btw.  the red and green ones, too.  :)

e:  power bombs, fraking finally.  it's also pretty cool how the green area changed and spots i found before with dots now have stuff in them and aren't empty.  good to know that empty rooms in other areas may not be staying empty. loving this again.
Orel

Finally beat this, got 8:22 with 3.8% items. (WTF?)
final count at the end was 225 missiles, 50 supers, 50 power, 12 E tanks, 4 reserve and i missed the screw attack.
That crash i posted about earlier apparently only happens on the control freak patched version i was using, when i loaded my save up on a clean version it didn't crash, but it still made some weird noise when i entered that room. i know it's not crys responsibility to make sure it works with that patch, but hopefully after the lava room with the chozo statue is fixed, the problem will just fix itself.

A couple questions.
How the HELL do you get this missile pack?

I figured i had to go two rooms to the right, charge up a shine, morph, roll in, fall off, unmorph then shinepark to it, but i can't seem to air shinespark after rolling out of the tunnel..

Also, what was the point of this?

I spent like 30 minutes trying to speedball in there and i had to relearn how to mockball in order to pull it off. When i finally made it there, there was nothing but a bunch of speed booster blocks that i can't seem to get through. I tried charging, morphing then rolling all the way over there, but there didn't seem to be enough time to shinespark up. If i were to try with a clean rom and use the boost ball in order to make it there in time to shinespark, would there be some sort of item reward to find or something?
Also, one last map error i found.
The item marker dot should be one to the left.
Anyways, thank you crys, it's been lots of fun playing this.

Orel, answer to question 1:
Charge shinespark rooms 1 and 2 to the right, roll through the passage, grapple that block, and shinespark to the right, took me like 20+ tries.
Question 2:
I haven't a damn clue what it's for, I finally resorted to TAS super short charge and flat mockball to get there. And if you wish to shinespark up that: charge a shine in that room, morph into the tunnel and use boost ball.
That sounds really difficult, guess i better go give it a try though.

I had kinda figured i could do that with the boost ball, but like i said i'm using the control freak patch and the boost ball doesn't work with it. Really sucks that there's nothing up there though. Atleast it taught me how to flat speedball without using any TAS stuff. (my god was that difficult..)

Chozunsda

Crys, did you get the PM's I sent about the glitch that lets you clip through 2 tile floors?
So far the only thing that it looks like I can do with that is skip Phantoon, but I am not far enough into the game to see if theres a boss statue or if the state changes are required(I Killed him after Varia to be safe). So far this is the only Sequence Break I have found with the glitch.
I can't beat:
GT! I have 11 E-tanks, 4 R-tanks, all upgrades besides SA, 210 missiles, 35 SM, 40 PB.

Method: Similar to what TASers use, crouch and shoot up. So I don't understand how that doesn't do the trick...
Any tips?

Wow, amazing.. simply amazing, I'll post my thoughts later: 4:07, 83.6%. I'll be posting my blind playthrough on Youtube.

Tyjet, here's what I did...

Edit:  lolol  nevermind

Some questions:

Hints of where to find:
Screw Attack?
Golden Torizo?
Entrance to Tourian?

MetroidMst

Question 1: No idea
Question 2: Deep down in Deep Ice somewhere
Question 3:Try finding "Tourain" first

Yonowaaru

I've found Tourian and defeated Ridley already, found the map station and it seems like I need another elevator down to there. I have everything except the screw attack, and have no idea where Golden Torizo exactly is. Anything more specific?
Try exploring the map room a little bit more.
I found an easier alternate method of getting that elusive deep ice missile pack.
After 20 minutes of failed attempts at shinesparking to it, i decided to try something different. all i had to do was walk under the missile pack and mash the d-pad and jump for a couple minutes and i got it.
So now i have 230 missiles, 50 super, 50 power, 12 energy and 4 reserve.  All i seem to be missing is the screw attack and 2 energy tanks, at this point i'm kind of tired of exploring randomly so I'll probably wait for an item map.

Also, that crash i found apparently had nothing to do with the control freak patch i used, it seems to only happen when playing the game on Snes9xGX on the Wii.  So anyone else that plays this on their Wii is gonna have to transfer their save over before the last boss and finish it on a different emulator.

Yonowaaru

FINISHED :D
Awesome hack dude, I had a fun time exploring and I ended with:

230 missles (Though I know of at least one more missle pack)
45 Super Missles (Last one was somewhere in deep ice afaik)
30+ Power Bombs (I never have this full, though I've missed at least one)
All Energy tanks
All reserve tanks
All but the Screw attack

I got 0. % for some reason?

So, is there actually the screw attack anywhere?

xKonvicted

Haha so i just beat kraid with bombs, morph, and 15 missiles, so i figured this was a good time to put down the controller to comment.
Must say that i love the amount of freedom put into this game. I also love the feeling of never knowing whats behind the next door, and since i didn't watch any of the videos before hand, im being wow'd by the all the detail of the backgrounds and custom tiles. A+ so far. Well, back to work!

I had that exact same crash, no control freak, no other mods, SNES9X for my computer.

I found a minor glitch.

If you boostball from that room into the next room, you will activate a scroll pointer on the opposite side of the room and cause it to scroll without Samus.

My thoughts so far:

1. The level layout itself is very unique, unlike anything I have encountered before.
2. The color palette plays well with my eyes. There's nothing more of a turn-off than something that hurts to look at.
3. The open-endedness of this game makes me want MOAR! I love getting lost, but not so lost that I have to bomb every single thing to find my next path (which I'm currently doing).

Right now I have Wave, Spazer, Varia, Morph, Bomb, Mega Ball, and Hi-Jump with 75 missiles, 10 supers, Grappling Beam, X-Ray Scope, 1 Reserve Tank and 4 E-tanks. I, for the life of me, cannot find where to go next. I know Powerbombs are next, but I swear I've X-Rayed every room and bombed nearly every surface for almost 2 hours. Kind of frustrating =/

I wonder if you're having the same problem I did.  There's a door that didn't open the first time it should have for me, and I was in that exact same predicament with the same stuff just walking around the planet over and over until it magically opened after doing the same thing I had done all the other times in that room.  In fact, the door didn't open like it should have until I did the same thing in that room like 10 or so times, probably more. The place you need to go is the subterrane(green) area.
