Are you referring to Green Peace? If so, I assume that you need to save and reload in that hack frequently due to constantly corrupting GFX, right? (I've not played it) If so, that fits the bill PERFECTLY for what you need.

I'm sorry, guys and girls. I need a rest. A vacation. Week or two. Yesterday it was a 5th time in this month when I want to die. Even making my deepest, darkest desires that I had for over 9000 years (not kidding here) comes true won't help. So, I'm just posting it here.

If I hadn't replied to someone or promised to help and haven't, I'm sorry. Will do this a bit later. Just not now.

I'm not disappearing completly and will login from time to time.

I'm sad to hear that buddy. Take care of you and take a rest as long as you need.

It's been scientifically proven that the fastest way to improve your overall feeling is to start exercising.  Of course this applies if you don't already have a routine going.  Get outside and start jogging, trust me you'll feel an improvement.  If you still feel like you're in a valley then see if expanding your routine will help, you can push yourself to exhaustion on a track, seriously till you can't breath any harder, like your going to pass out.  Trust me the physical exertion releases chemicals in your body, almost like an internal charge that gives you the energy to get out of the valley.  If you're thinking "I'm not a jogger", don't think of it that way, think of it as a way to tell those shifty feeling to (excuse my bluntness) fuck off.  Seriously separate yourself from those feelings, as in don't accept them as "part of you", they are seperate, thus you can be angry at them for existing which in turn will motivate you to take the steps to eliminate them.

You should also evaluate your life and make a mental note of what things exist in your life that drag you into a valley, it could be habits or activities or lack of activities.  These have to be things that are realistically within your circle of influence, as in things YOU have immediate control over, not something like the actions of another or their thoughts which are merely in your circle of concern, you can be concerned about them all you want but you don't have any real control over them, if even minor.  Focus on the things you can control/change.

We all have peaks and valley's, it's just part of the roller coaster of life.  I really hate to see you talk of dieing, just keep in mind that our feelings don't really define the true nature of the world around us, often times they just cloud our vision.  Try what I suggested in my first paragraph, I think it'll help.  Also don't forget, you don't have to accept low feelings, you can separate yourself and internally tell them to piss off.

Quietus

I can vouch for the exercise suggestion.  I went through a long spell of feeling stuck in a rut, with the working week broken up only by periods of sleep to recover for the next week's work.  For the longest time I felt miserable and put on lots of weight, and when I finally got off my arse and went running and swimming, it was like a new me.  I actually felt horrible for a while after starting exercising, but it was because I couldn't believe how long I had allowed myseld to feel so miserable, bordering on depression, when this one change was all I had to make.  I vowed I'd never allow myself to do it again.

You see, it's not just an autumn depression like "life sucks because life sucks" or something like that. I have reasons for that.

Example. Recently I knew that I have, let's say, problem A.
OK, I've got the problem, but I'll fix it, I thought.
Then I knew that to fix problem A, I'll need to fix problems B and C first.
OK, it's not so bad, I thought. Let's fix problem B first.
To fix problem B, I'll need to fix problems D and E.
OK, this is bad... But what do I need to do to fix problems D and E? A lot of time.
What can I do now? Try to fix problem C. And as usual, to fix it, I'll need to fix problems F and 10 first.
What should I do to fix problems F and 10? A lot of money. Well, not A LOT, just a lot.

As you see, problem A can't be solved instantly, but I need to fix it ASAP. So, you can see my condition after understanding all this.

Quietus

Yeah, I understand what you're saying, and I don't think that either of use were implying that it would instantly for your problems, but it should certainly make some of them a little easier to tackle. :^_^:

Hehe, I just can't seem to 'get' Downton Abbey.  To me it's just Highclere Castle, and it's ten minutes from my house. :^_^:

Quietus

Without wishing to open the whole 'people carting ROM hacks' debate again, I saw these today, and I thought they were pretty cool.  As far as hacks are concerned, I expect these would be great for anything related to Grime. :heheh:

Not exactly... Play it and you'll see. It's a micro hack, so you can clear it really fast. And this fits perfectly to what I need...

As for physical excercies, yes it helps to feel better (I know), but as Quietus said, it's not fixes the problem.

So, I found a thing when googling Metconst earlier.
We are scientific people it seems!

No idea what that's about snarf but at least you can see it in MicroHacker's post.

I've never been one to really get all that into the Christmas spirit, but well...  here ya go...

Carol of the Bells in SM instruments.  Yep, I've gone insane...

Quietus

Even if it is a strange choice for a song, it's one of the better custom songs I've heard. :^_^:

Crashtour99

You should come on IRC more.  It's where I share most of the music stuff I've done, which by now is quite a bit.  Takes a lot to get used to using SM samples for music and have it sound decent.

Here's the collection so far (if you're interested):

You can probably tell which ones were more recent and which are from when I was first starting out.   :heheh:  Learning to music takes time.

Quietus

I liked Phendrana, Hymn, Maridia Piano Remix, and Escape Boss. :^_^:

After 1 year of work (and 10 of evolution), I'm proud to announce my latest release.  :yay:

Now I can deserve my holidays. Anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone  I'm early

Grimlock

I can't seem to get it to play Cloud, I click the play button and it becomes a series of circles and doesn't seem to do anything.

Quietus

It seems to play fine for me, Grimlock.

Looking forward to listening this evening, will edit this post with feedback at a later time.

edit: feedback as promised
01 wave2004 - love the industrial gritty beats and bassline. melody feels a bit too light for it imo, i was thinking more dark, like S>>D's 33.
02 wave2005 - dig this track, sorta traverses melodic concepts till certain ones stick and that gridlockesque fat beats swell with the sonics.
03 wave2006 - lush ambient beginning, even though the beats work, this track could have done without them and stayed a purely ambient melodic piece.
04 wave2007 - energetic stuff man, also enjoy your grainy surface style. this tracks got style points. awesome track.
05 wave2008 - more laid back tempo to bring you down from wave2007. enjoy the harmonies in this. realy liked this one.
06 wave2009 - my favorite track. has that raster noton palette. i'm gonna love this one on repeat.
07 wave2010 - lush melodies, as stated with 06, i'd enjoy a beatless version.
08 wave2011 - sounds like old tunes era boards of canada in places, and that i can dig. the second half has that early 90s warp sound from their a-listers.
09 wave2012 - this has an 80s industrial synth-pop vibe, but with that signature area xg static background.
10 wave2013 - perfect melody, perfect instruments. nice breakdown beat at the end too. loved this one.
11 wave2014 - lots of ideas in this track, but it ends up being a bit of a mess. still ace production though, just all over the place.

overall very interesting remasters on the wave[20XX] tracks from previous releases. an album i'll be listening to on headphones during my jogs.
you make me want to take making music seriously again. I wouldn't mind belting out an ep before 2015 thanks to hearing these wave sessions.
Stargate has been a huge part of my life, so you have no idea how much the existence of a Stargate game means to me.

Stargate has been a huge part of my life too, but that game fucking sucks slimy Goa'uld worm dicks.
Not even the Asgard or Ancients could save Sega Genesis' massive Jaffa turd into something the Wraith would enjoy.
