Favorite Hacks

Hey everyone! New member here! I just played Super Metroid Subversion, and it was amazing. I plan on posting a review of it soon, but that is not relevant here. I want to know other popular hacks. I have dabbled in hacks like Vitality, Hyper, Ascent, Cryogenesis, and Eris, but I want some more obscure hacks. Y'know, stuff that isn't popular but has some semblance of quality.

Super Metroid has plenty of decent obscure hacks for sure, it's hard to give a proper recommendation because they may not be designed to be appealing for everyone, hence, their lack of popularity. Wacky difficulty, reliance on "glitches" to progress, confusing sceneries to name a few.

There is a bunch of small sized (aka contest) hacks which do weird stuff you don't usually see in full scale hacks you mentionned.

If ratings aren't a good metric for you, why don't you watch some video playthrough of it ? It doesn't take long to realize wether said hack matches your taste and quality standard or not.
