We've all played video games as kids and got angry with them, so, I don't understand why people make these frustrating hacks.

Horses for courses.

There are many extensions for many games. Some are simply extensions or reimaginings of the original games, so they can be be enjoyed all over again. Others prefer to take a game they already love, and add difficulty to find a new way to enjoy it. If you don't like the hard type versions, just don't play them. There are plenty of others to go round, or you could always try randomisers, which is another great way to relive them.

Most importantly: Whichever path you choose, have fun. :^_^:

I think his (?) problem is that most hacks are difficult, even the ones not labeled as "challenge".

I decided to stop playing Super Metroid: Eris, because the guy designed the Sporespawn battle too difficult, the creator designed the game so you have to play through water without the gravity suit, early in the game while Samus isn't as powerful-Losing too much energy with each hit. I've had to stop playing Reimagined because I'm unable to morphball through a hole that's too high in the pipe.

There's also my pet peeve of the items being hidden... I'm unfortunately not qualified to create a hack of my own.
