I do, but I have no idea how to put images in ( I'm new to this site )

Quietus

You need to upload your images to one of the many image hosting websites, then use the links they provide you with to post the images here.

To do the latter, you click 'Reply' as usual, then type:

Obviously replacing that link with the one you're given. :^_^:

Thanks Quietus!

Very close, but it's the 'Direct Link' you want. :^_^:

Yes, please get those fixed, or we'll need to close this thread until you're able to provide images. And a patch, if this is a release thread.

A few more images

I'll start putting out patches within the next month or 2   :^_^:

I'll offer my traditional comment: Try to randomise your filler tiles for less uniformity. Here's an example:

Don't feel obliged or set yourself deadlines for pushing out patches of your unfinished work. Most people are pretty understanding, and would much rather see a 100% completed and polished work than an unfinished mess. Leave that to testers. If you're short on people to test your work, ask around on IRC or Discord. The people there are usually quite friendly and happy to help out a newcomer.  :^_^:

As for the screenshots, they look rather unremarkable to be honest. Based on the layout, I'd suggest that you look into learning a few useful/borderline essential skills, such as moving and modifying doors, and some general level design stuff. It's very clear from the screenshots that you're new to this, and that's perfectly okay. There's a lot of potential, but stuff like this:

is super frowned upon by most hack players. Spikes are generally reserved for very light usage, usually to encourage the use of another item such as space jump or grapple beam. As it stands, your hack looks like a very uninspired half hack, which is a great start to hacking, but far from the level of quality that would really make it stand out. I do however love that you're enthusiastic about hacking and would love to see you take this as advice rather than criticism. Keep up the work, learn some new skills, and don't be afraid to experiment or ask questions if you get stuck.  :^_^:

Speaking of testing, I'll be happy to test it.
