Just in case this tool might come in handy for something, what does this tool in Smile actually do, does anyone know, it's always puzzled me, I've experimented with it a little, but have never worked out what it actually does, is somebody here able to explain it? Thanks in advance for any help...

It allows you to compare the current ROM open with another ROM of your choice. It shows you all the areas where data isn't the same. For example I typically use it to find where a patch writes its data. So I'd apply whatever patch to a clean ROM, then use file compare and compare it to another Clean ROM. The txt file would then show a list of offsets in PC format showing where data has been changed. ROM #1 is the ROM that was open in smile when launching the tool, and ROM #2 is the ROM you a comparing with.
