JAM

I've just checked. My site is OK. Thanks for warning =)

Now seriously, download Firefox to avoid this. Or IE5. Works fine too. It's just too old to understand redirecting scripts =)

Just tested with ie, chrome, Firefox and opera, and not a single one of them had any issues. Sounds like a problem on your end, eg some kind of malware you've picked up.

Download and run "Malwarebytes", a friend of mine who works as an IT professional highly recommends it (uses it at work apparently).  It's free to try so if your PC is infected (scratch that, it IS infected) this app should sort it out.... Good luck, malware is a bitch, there's a special place in hell for the basturds that develop them.

I think it's still free to use, as long as it's for personal use.

'Tis indeed a free program, and a good one at that. I can certainly vouch for it.  :^_^:

"Try" as in trial period    (you get to try it out for free for a limited time).  I think you have to pay for it if you decide to keep it.  If his/her PC is infected the initial trial period should be enough to get it cleaned up.  It's worth buying though IMO, Norton and the other big name antivirus programs are ineffective against quite a few malware trojans.

I've had Malwarebytes for years and still have yet to have to pay for it, and like everyone else stated, it works great.

I also suggest:
>avg
>superantispyware
>adaware

Nope, it's completely free for personal use. :^_^:

They make their money from business users buying bulk licenses and home users upgrading to the prime version for real-time protection (as opposed to just running a scan when you want to).

Grimlock

I have it on my PC and it eventually started up with the "your trial period has expired, you are no longer protected" pop-ups.  It still let's you scan but I'm not sure if it'll pull one of those "hey, found a Trojan over here, you ready to purchase so we can remove it?" Bits.

Quietus, do you know if it'll still remove malware after the trial period?  I was considering buying the app but really scanning occasionally and removing anything malicious was what I was after, I already have anti-virus.

Lunaria

Better check yourself before you shrek yourself. :^)

It sounds like you've forgotten to uncheck the 'try a trial of prime' box during installation.  You should just be able to uninstall it, then download the free versions (unticking the trial!), and you're good to go.  I've been using it or years without issue.  The only thing you're lacking is the real-time protection, but that's likely just a resource hog anyway. :^_^:

Parabox

Install Funtoo, that oughta fix it
