Hello guys. This is my first hack, and I have MetroidMst (aka shyguyexpress) to thank for the help! It's because of his videos that I was inspired to make a hack in the first place. I never really bothered him with smile questions, I mostly learned it through trial and error (And by coming to this site he sent).

The story: Pretty much beat all the bosses and stuff like every other metroid hack.

New Addons:
I kind of created a Mothership area, where samus actually uses a -controlled- shine spark (you can change direction in air, thanks to an ips patch found on this site). I did this by replacing the area where ridley is with this new mothership. Custom background for the stars when your in space, and currently I'm trying to figure out a way to make a window. (I have tile layer pro for custom graphics but still, I don't know which tile to replace, that and the fact that the dang colors make it hard to know whats what Hehe).

Here's a video of an energy tank and it's "Speed booster challenge" in the mothership:

I'll continue to post things like screenshots and stuff soon.

would be nice if the preview vid showcased you pulling off these new moves successfully.
and not just in 1 room. it looks like some new guy just download your hack and is having
trouble getting used to it. lemme guess, intentional? it's hard to guess these days.
regardless, interesting asm and stuff, i'd like to see an official video though.
not some half arsed video of the creator fucking around in 1 room.
still.. somewhat interested.

For a first hack, this is pretty good, you have alot of potential. Need to work on your tiling and palettes, though. Needs more variety in terms of tile-placement, and I see a few that need to be flipped to get the "this is the side the light is reflecting off of" effect. You palettes seem to be incorrect as to which color should be which, if that makes sense. Keep playing with it, good luck!

Regarding the palettes, is it even clear that the creator has tinkered with them?  It looks like a Project Base creation, so I'd guess that the palettes are largely from that.

Oh, now that you mention it, I totally see it now.

Oh, now that you mention it, I see the connection. Thought he just used tons of patches.

Thanks for the feedback guys, and don't worry I'll provide a better video soon as I work a bit more on it :). And yep, I'm using Project Base

Weterr123

Good to see you struggling with your own puzzle haha

I'm no pro, but I will say this: You don't necessarily need a million patches and physics tweaks to make a hack stand out.

Welcome to Metconst  :^_^:

Thanks haha :) Yeah, I'm heavily thinking about keeping the same title, and the same ideas but re doing the hack's stage design / physics. (The original idea, including the mothership will still be there, just with enhanced graphics and whatnot). I like project base, but I want to see what I can do -from scratch-. I haven't been hacking for very long, so my brain finally became puddy last night after learning about ASM and stuff similar to that, litterally just figuring patches / hex editing / asm out all in a few hours = brain becomes mesh.
