I'll be participating, but 3 hours after the official starting time.(yay work!)

Quietus

Since it just occurred to me, despite it being an obvious question, are we talking about today, or next Saturday, or just a Saturday to be arranged? Ignore - just reread the OP.

Also, is there any preference as to where we'd stream, if possible?

I just knocked Shadow96 into 6th with 1:25 :D

Edit: Then I got knocked into 6th by Drewseph with 1:23 >_>

For those who might want it, here's the .smv of my run:

I'll get my video up soon. I feel ashamed of the run I completed.

Fizzer

I'd like everyone's videos if they have them, though, like I said, if anyone stops their emulator a lot and they've recorded an SMV they'll go out of sync. I'd even like videos from those that quit if they exist.

MetroidMst

As a thought, for the next race I have a suggestion. If we do a hack sometime, why not spend a couple of hours trying to do the Grand Prixs? They are practically made for this.

So many screwups... emulator used for recording was SNES9x 1.51 v7 svn 138

Edit: I'm all for creating a hack specifically for another community speedrun. I'll probably make a topic once I get some of the details worked out in IRC.
Double edit: In fact, I'm also thinking about possibly making a team relay race possible.

Quietus

Great runs, everybody!  You've given me the bug for speedrunning again, so I'll be cranking mine down.

Here's my .smv.  Please feel free to fast forward the ceiling glitch for Springball part past the first seven fails!

Love some of the ideas for this.
I do think however that for any race, If you die, there should be a small time penalty. Just like a minute or two off your end time.
Looks awesome Red_Monkey

Currently, my movie is being compressed into a .mp4 and out of an uncompressed video file. <_< I'll update this post when I've got that done.

Here ya go Fizzer! Took an hour to upload. <_<

Hey, since getting back into running it I've yet to break the hour mark, so don't panic just yet. :^_^:

Drewseph

From what I know, Saturday 1300 EST

I wish there was just a universal timezone for the internet, like, internet time.  that would make arranging races like this much easier

That means I need to wake up early though... =_= Fine.
Edit: Count me out. I'm too much of a lazy ass to wake up.

Quietus

Ill be out too, because I'll be out.  Have a good race, people! :^_^:

Times for this week:

MetroidMst - 1:07
Drewseph - 1:15
Shadow96 - 1:23 (on real snes) (1:19 on emulater later)
ZeroOne - 1:32
Mon732 - not finished
Full of Fail - not finished

Scyzer

So me and P18 have decided that the next 100% race will be a full 100% completion game. You must get 100% of items, as well as beat every boss, save the animals, collect all maps, and visit every map tile.
You will not have to use every save station or recharge station.

I will be making a patch to apply to a clean rom which will recalculate the ending percentage to include map data explored and bosses/events.

Quietus

As far as the map thing is concerned, I presume you mean the game's normal pink areas, and not any overlooked / glitched ones?  Also, on the same subject, it may be worth making it more specific, so make the map rooms display the whole area map, and THAT is what players have to uncover, making the map rooms essential.
