Is just an normal question, cause i always thought that samus standing sprite on Super
Metroid was a little odd. So is it possible to replace samus's sprites by sa-x's sprites?
( i know that sa-x dont have enough movements to replace all samus sprites)
Or if there is any other samus edits? (excluding Justin Bailey)

Thanks to anyone who answer this sillyness

Technically, yes, you could replace Samus' sprites with the SA-X's. But it'd be very difficult to do. Samus' sprites are ridiculously huge and complex and there aren't that many people who have edited them to a significant degree.

It is indeed possible to edit Samus' graphics, but it's not an easy task. I mean...

If you're really up to it, go ahead, but don't expect to do it in just a few days.

Honestly, you might not have to edit as much as you think. Mainly, you'll want to change the 'facing the camera' poses, and obviously the poses for Samus standing still and whatnot. Most of the other sprites are only seen so briefly that a good palette change might emulate the effect well enough. Just depends how in-depth you wanna go with it. Changing all of the running, spinjump etc. animations would be a massive headache. Morph ball would be fairly easy. I say go for it.

So, is there an simplified way to do it (program-wise)or more noob-friendly?
I tried using TLP and a sprite sheet but it didnt work very well.
How do i make gridlines from both the original and the edit (like if it were comparing eachother)?
Or just simply redirect me to a sort of tutorial or something.

Thx for the reply gentleman!

Ps:hey not the perfect english but, man!

I did have a quick search, as I recall somebody mentioning creating a program that would help with this, but I couldn't remember who it was, or the name of the program, or anything.

Anybody recall?

I actually stared Redraw samus sprites months ago and most of sprite are done. Now i dont have time to add them in Tlp because im very busy with school. I thought to continue it in the summer when i have free time.
