these maps are not danidub's, they wouldn't be found on danidub's website. i'm just imitating his style, and explicitly crediting him as an inspiration. i can attach the source GIMP files if further evidence is required.

kelly pointed out to me it's not the final version as they're finishing up fixing the glitches. i'm asking if items would move etc. in case so you can update the map. I'll update you in case.

FWIW, in addition to this kind of detailed map, I think Dread would benefit from a more traditionally styled, less cluttered map (don't try fitting it on a grid though (trust me I tried)).

Update August 2022: While my initial goal was to cover hacks that don't have detailed maps, lately I've been working with some of the more popular games that have already been mapped out by Danidub.  I still point to the MAP STATION for gameplay purposes, but I've really been enjoying the aesthetics (and process) of a good screenshot map lately.

originally this thread was only for my own maps but it seems to have become a general unified map thread, which i'm fine with honestly. i'll add a link to this reply in the thread's first post, along with danidub's site and LPNITA's map thread. if you make any more maps like these, please add them to your post here, to keep everything neat and unified.

also, these maps fucking rule, they're very impressive, especially phazon v3. great job.

Thanks much.  I still prefer the DaniDub style for gameplay, but screencap is a great medium to show off the author's world-building.

I have an interactive map site with 38 maps and counting. I just added Y-faster 2: Furious today. I have an automated script that screenshots smile for every layer and every room as well as pulling the rooms zone and position data. If anyone is doing something similar I can share the files with you (running it locally may not be possible as it is a bit moody). If anyone wants to make a map hit me up as I can probably save you a few hours of work.
