The decision to forbid fan games from this contest was on the committee, not me. There may be contests in the future that allow fan games. If you want to submit one yourself, here is a good place to do so.

It's a simpler concept, thus meaning the hacks being created will be less demanding. I consider it something different to see if people are able to make better hacks this time around.

Can confirm that ZM is not a real game. No one has ever played it and MAGE is actually a collection of very well made pngs.

The contest ends in 2 weeks time! Make sure your entries are solid before submitting them. I suggest finishing them a week early and spending the final week crushing bugs. (Or, you know, you could submit your hack 1 month early, that works too...  :lol: )

Can I get a clarification on the item/refill rooms not counting. If I have a 2*3 room with no enemies and an item or two, does that count toward the total, or is it simply 1*1 item/refill rooms that don't count?

The item room counts toward the room count. The refill room does not count toward the room count.

It's a recharge room so it wouldn't count to the total unless the architecture made traversing it notable.
