Hopefully this double post is okay because I wasn't allowed to post a link until I made 1 post on my account.

Hi, SuperKB. Glad you could join us. I may have to watch your playlist at some point. I think I still have your Redesign 100% run saved somewhere. :^_^:

While you can also copy your review here, remember to post it on the hack page.

SuperKB

With pleasure and I'm glad that you enjoyed my 100% run that you saved it! :^_^:

I just finished posting my review check it out!.

In the review I posted, here are some spots that the X-Ray Scope couldn't reveal but you can go through.

Fun fact: the last image is where I found the last missile tank on my first playthrough until I looked up a map.

Hehe, it was from years ago, when I was attempting to get a 100% run together, and it was easier than keep trying to find sections of it on Youtube. :^_^:

Hello, dudes.

I'm new here. I found a glitch in SM: Redesign Axeil Edition, which I recorded and uploaded on Youtube.

I hope you guys can see it.

On Brinstar, when you enter in the room with shinespark, pressing down you go to a below room and die.

Drewseph

oh shit, I bet this can be done on all doors that have scroll plm's in front of them... well, that will be fun to test and fix...

GUZROCK

Guys.
I was playing and I found another glitch on SM Redesign: Axeil Edition. Unfortunately, I didn't record it (I just took a photo with my cellphone) and I forgot to make a screen shot where it is in the map, but I was in Norfair, when I back to that door (I mean, the second time I passed thru that door), the left-hand inferior block disappeared, as the image shows. Maybe you guys will know where it is.

:>:There's something else I'd like to share with you all. Just showing how much I like Redesign hack, I bought a Super Metroid Redesign cartridge that almost looks like an original one. It is an original chip of Super Metroid original, but with its ROM changed.
I confess I couldn't finish it yet on my SNES console, I found out I'm not a true hardcore gamer, lol.
The mini cover was made by me. I made it the same size of the cartridge.
See the files attached.

Thanks.

LiquidDreams

I think I've seen that cartridge box floating around the web. Looks pretty cool. What Redesign version is in it?

In a perfect world, I'd like to have one of those big boxes the folks at Timewalk made for Redesign, when they were still active. With the added benefit that the cartridge contained the final Redesign version. One can dream, huh?

Maybe I'll ask someone talented to make an artsy reproduction of it, box art and all, when the time is right and the stars align...

GUZROCK

Hey LiquidDreams!

It's the version 2.1, which I believe it's the final one.

No problem, I send 'em to you. See the attached file: It's the box art I made for Redesign (you can print it in A3 format 1:1 scale) - Or if you want to make the mini cover, you can print it in A4 (it will cut a lil' bit of the side flaps).
The inner tray you can find easily in the internet.

LiquidDreams

Oh, that cover is your own work? Nice. Ever considered making a manual for Redesign as well? It would compliment the package nicely.

Drewseph

Fixed those X-ray spots.  Unfortunatley that invisible tile seems to be part of the grapple escape.  The PLMs which remove the solid tiles are interfering with other tiles in the room it seems.  I cannot repro this but if this is on console then that may be why.

GUZROCK

Hey, Drewseph.

Actually, that invisible block happened to me when I was playing Axeil Edition on PC, and not Redesign on console Snes.

Drewseph

how did you cause it? what emulator are you using?

GUZROCK

I'm using the emulator "snes9x-1.53-win-x64".

I'm gonna go back to Norfair to find that place, then I'm going to film it.

Drewseph

I'm 99% sure its caused after walking through the door when the bridge is gone

GUZROCK

Hey, Drewseph.
I went to Norfair and I found the glitch I told you before. See the following video below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFpZAaI6PNQ

It's located where you got the Grappling Beam. When you enter in the room, everything looks normal, but when you leave the room, the inferior left-hand block disappears.

Drewseph

1.5 is out. After taking considerable feedback I've polished off a great number of changes for 1.5  most drastic of changes being the Express elevators, which are now completely useful. for zipping around the world. if you encounter any major bugs, do let me know via PM please.

1.5
- Moved and changed behaviour of Express Elevators.  They can now
connect to any other unlocked express elevator instead of two fixed ends.
- Adjusted enemy weaknesses and beam damage.
- Reduced charge beam shot cooldown
- Reduced Super missile cooldown
- Rebalanced Ridley Ceres damage: Each shot reduces HP by 70hp and will reduce HP
during the second encounter in Lower Norfair. (Max deduction: 70.3% HP)
- Metroid stun is always maxed when stunned by bombs.  It no longer stacks.
- Increased countdown until Metroid's re-spawn
- Guardian hints now show once you've visited the Gatekeeper.
- Changed room layouts to make some guardians more accessible
- Adjusted room layouts to make some hidden passages a bit more visual.
- Added alternate progression routes.  Hint system still uses a fixed path.
- Removed Draygon door blocking West Maridia Guardian.
- Reduced activation time for platforms in lava.
- Automap fixes.
- Screw Attack doesn't give speed boost in sand falls when in air.
- minor expansion relocations.
- Added energy refill before first save in Tourian after completing Phase 1
- Made crumble block permanent at end of the final security death beam in Tourian.
- Tweaked grapple beam swing behaviour
- increased morphball speed in air & water
- increased running speed in water
- misc. tile changes in level data
- Fixed bug in which decelerating on a slope would result in
very fast vertical screen and samus jittering.

I am currently busy with other things, but I might have a chance to try out this new version tomorrow.  Looks promising.

Drewseph

it was just mentioned to me by a tester they forgot to inform me of a few bugs they encountered. sigh, well its fixed and updated, it was a small error that was hard to repro involving ridleys ceres shots not effecting LN battle, but it should be fixed.  if anyone encounters this please let me know and keep a save file

Basically if you get Ridley to flee on Ceres, he should start with very low health in LN, being pink from the start. If this doesn't happen, please mention it.

Steel Sparkle

Awesome Sauce! 1.5 is out. I would love to LP but i have like 2 requests i have to do when i get done with SOTN. But i WILL give this a play through. I like the sound of those changes.

Hitaka

Well, I played up to Ridley again and he still has too much health if you make him flee on Ceres. Here's a savestate for you, Drew.

*list of changes*
I see nothing in there about reducing the number of purple doors. Pass. Sorry, Drew, but I want to have some level of fun while playing.

PS, if you had been taking feedback seriously, you should've at least addressed this. Are you taking feedback seriously, or the changes just for appeasement?

Drewseph

Leno, please calm down, purple doors have been reduced to important places.  the numbers are def lower than before.

Hitaka, your save file has ridleys shots stored as #$0000  o_O

somewhere along the game its getting cleared...

Steel Sparkle
DREW THE NEW WARP AREA IS SO BEAUTIFUL!
How did you do that?
