Well, my turn I guess.

First I've been in love with SM since it first came out on the SNES. Always wanted to make my own game of some sort, mainly a RPG, but once I found out about SMILE I had a change of plans.

I first found out about SMILE like two years ago or something, but never knew where to get any help so I usually would overwrite stuff and had no idea what I was doing, so I quit for a bit. Then about 6 or 7 months ago picked it back up and started playing with it. Somehow I got to talking to person701 and he gave me help here and there than eventually linked me to the metconst chatroom. The rest is pretty much history. Normally I like to try figuring stuff out on my own, but the way SMILE is setup sometimes, I just found it much easier to ask questions before I play with things myself. I'm working on a hack, and might take up a secondary collaboration mini-hack with Flamestar666.

Hello Metroid Construction. I am a proud Super Metroid fanboy since 1996, and have played it a lot. I have also played some ROM hacks for it, and I recently began working on one. I have also played and beaten all the Metroid adventure games, except Corruption (I find it to be boring IMHO >_>). I am also a fan of Fire Emblem, Pokemon, and old games.

I also watch some anime, record video playthroughs (though I can't right now; damn laptop), listen to video game music and instrumentals, and play the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. I am also a fan of fictional female characters, usually from video games and anime.

Nu Zalem and maybe Silver Skree should know who I am.

I can't believe I missed this topic.  I was about to create my own.

Anyway, I am AhAhA.  Some of you may already know me from #jzd (or at least had seen me once).  I was once experienced at SMILE, but have gone on a hiatus which caused me to forget most of everything I know.  Thanks to this site, I might once again remember.  I see that many people know ASM, and I feel jealous a bit.   :=x:  And I'm surprised by the jump, as I only heard of a few people from years ago who were able to code ASM as if it were as easy as SMILE itself.

Welcome Ahaha, I think I might remember seeing you in my early days on #jzd, but it's been a while. Hacking for Super Metroid has indeed made huge leaps and bounds, and if you're getting back into hacking we'll help you get caught up quickly, so to speak.

Hey im Chozun some of you might NOT remember me from the early days of SCU. I have been pretty much following the Metroid , Zelda, and Speedrunning community's since then and have seen all the progress you guys have made over the years... as a lurker SADFACE :<. I could never really contribute to many of the community's due to lack of free time, but I have been silently cheering for you guys and the guys that broke MP and OoT for a very long time now. I have been trying to get around to learning Smile for quite some time and have recently been able to put a decent amount of time into hacking and such. I am currently working on a SM hack(Gasp!) and am still fairly clueless about most things hacking. Expect to be bugged by me sometime :)

Fun Fact: I contributed a Blood Flower sprite to the very very dead MP2D a long long time ago.
