Yes.  And holding the run button while in ball form does absolutely nothing.  I am using a fairly recent version of ZSNES, 1.51 I think.

FWIW, I am making no patching demands whatsoever and taking no position on the strange conversation quoted above, just telling you what is going on with my game.  It's a spiffy looking hack.

I'm having the same problem with both the morph ball speed booster and the energy tank display. The display for the energy tanks, by the way, looks pretty close to the normal display. At least for me anyhow... Something tells me I'm not using the correct rom in some manner.

Yeah, I collected the Speed Booster and the Spring Ball. It wouldn't choke up just because I grabbed Gravity before the Speed Booster, would it? o_O
Also, the morph ball speed before getting the spring ball wasn't as slow, too. Also, here's what my energy tanks look like:

As far as anything else I can recall, I patched the ROM with Lunar Magic and I've been using ZSNES 1.51 to play it. Can't think of anything else that might be notable. >_>

Yeah, actually.
To be frank, most people will not put up with demands, which is basically what you were giving when you said, "This needs to be fixed!"
If you asked, and politely, rather than demanded, your request would have been received better.
Complaining that you did nothing wrong doesn't help much either, since it involves other's reactions mostly.

Just to confirm what the others have said, I ran into the same deal with the energy tank icons and speed boosting in morph ball form.  Also encountered the infinite spin jumping sound while trying to get speed booster.  No biggie though.

Edit:  Just finished it and in the last room where things are exploding I noticed a slight graphical glitch (like the one described for Kraids room, which I didn't see  lol).  Just thought you'd like to know.

Took me a little over an hour to make it all the way through and get everything.  Friggin awesome for only 7 rooms.

Yup.  That happened to me the first time too.   I suppose the easiest fix would be to put charge out in the open on the way to Kraid.

I only had about 6 missiles or so, and I beat him. You have to regen them in the fight though. It's kinda hard for me  :blush:

He basically said "the patch you posted doesn't look/play the same as the one shown in the video. Please put up the right one." And in the end, it turns out that Grime had, in fact, placed the wrong patch. So I fail to see what he did wrong in point out that it was the wrong patch. He didn't say "OMG this sucks it isn't right FIX NAO!" or anything like that.

Anyways, my impressions just on the video alone cause I haven't played it yet.. the hack looks awesome, and I'm looking forwards to playing it, but it also looks like it'll rely on a lot of techniques, so hopefully that won't give me too much headache.

I think it's partly because of his not-so-great start here.  He got people's backs up, and it looks like some still want to roast him whenever possible.  I also felt as you did, hence my post about it looking like a simple oversight.  I'd also add that (in my opinion) he has tried ten times harder than a lot of other people looking to get into hacking, and he deserves some credit.

Anyway, off-topic - my bad, so to make it not quite so off-topic, thanks for the replacement patch, Grime. :^_^:

I think it was mainly a group assumption that the version Grime showcased was his own edited version, and that he did mean to upload that first one.
At least, that's the one I was running under... and I guess it was wrong  :blush:
