Right.  Meaning that a user would take the shot, and then post it.  Where above does it say that the picture was edited in any way?  Since we've no way of knowing where the shot is from, there's no way of telling whether it's been edited or not, which makes the argument irrelevant.

Zero One

I wasn't arguing, I was correcting. Either way, we kinda derailed the thread a little.

Quietus

I wasn't saying we were arguing, just that the argument of edited or not is pointless, due to not knowing where the pic is from. :^_^:

Qactis

You guys are retarded how could that possibly be an in-game screenshot when it's 4 scroll areas? I didn't know you could zoom out in M ZM/F

snarfblam

Wow................... you guys read into that waaaaaay to much. Well, just to be clear:

Quote
Making modifications after the screenshot is taken is strongly discouraged. Cropping the image is acceptable for the purpose of removing blank areas of the room or areas of the room that can never be seen in-game.

The point here is that all that you should be posting is the image that the level editor farted out. That line was written with things like "logos" or signatures in mind. (I don't think anybody needs to be told that Photoshop isn't a level editor. I also hope nobody needs to be told not to modify their room in the middle of voting.)

I've personally stopped including enemies in my screenshots because it doesn't seem fair that Editroid can do it but SMILE can't. But we don't need a rule for everything, and I'm not going to get pissed off because somebody did something that might be less than 100% kosher. If it wasn't clear that I was joking, sorry.

I suppose I'll reword the rule to try and make it clearer.

FullOfFail

I... can't vote. I have no idea what I'm looking at.

There could be no end of game creation programs out there that would give you a different sized view.

It can't?

Was some time since I messed with the function, but there are plenty of options you can put on or off when making a room map dump.

ProjectXVIII

SMILE will only show Layer 1, Layer 2, BTS, and Scrolls in room pictures, enemies, PLMs, and FX1 don't show up (yet), regardless of whether you have them on or not.

Well, I really wouldn't know first hand. At some point in the past somebody said something to give me the impression that it can't. Not really the point I was trying to make anyways.

passarbye

 :<_<:
not this week you don't.

Blarget2

aww, your no fun. Killjoy.

Someone should honestly make a good looking "door room", where they can make custom tiles only out of door pieces (means no gfx editing). If someone can pull off a good looking door room, that would be amazing :D.

Qactis

Blarget2 your room looks like something I'd walk through in the Aperture Science Facility. Passarbye your room made me pee a lil

Passarbye your room is downright spectacular. I love it. But BFs room man... O.O

knuckles

Of course, Black falcon's room is the best (to me). what I like most about bf's room is that it reminds me of metroid fusion's bsl research station... or some other space station.

Borderjumper67

Voted for Black falcon's room. I would really love to see the background in action. It looks tasty. :D

Sorry, no long boring review this time.

Passarbye, I dislike your room. None of the gfx work well with each other. The background doesn't fit the foreground, the darker foregrounds contrast isn't great, the fusion hanger tiles don't work with the chozo vibe which is also not conveyed very well, and the super metroid chozo doesn't fit with the fusion/zm tiles. The layering isn't too bad though.

Black Falcon, damn, that's a nice tileset. Not particularly great tiling, but the best here and the tileset is just perfect for the atmosphere you're trying to portray. The mix of fusion/super/custom is outstanding. And the custom lights, wow. In general, a lovely room. Awesome job.

Blargert, No.

So it's clear who gets my vote.

Blarget2

Don't worry Shadow96, next week will be better worse.

i vote for Black falcon for all reasons stated above.

squishy_ichigo

My only gripe with Black Falcon's submission is the lack of being able to tell what is background and what is foreground.

As for passarbye, I feel the greys are too bright.

I don't feel right voting this week, so I won't.
