BEHOLD!

I have made progress!

Note: This makes a whole lot more sense if you actually know stuff and such...

Tyjet66

Woo! You made your own tiles to make a messed up background in an original room! Congrats!

Lunaria

To be fair, this is DSO's tile set! ;)

Sad face that I have not done any progress since that...
You all can blame Minecraft for that. <_< >_>

I assume you're talking about installing the Homebrew Channel so you can play Ice Metal in Snes9X.
If you updated to 4.3 you can still install the homebrew channel if you have a copy of Lego Indiana Jones or a copy of Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Wheelie Breakers. (you could always rent one of these games if you don't have either.)
Here's a great guide for installing homebrew on your Wii.

Anyways, sorry for going off topic here.

Posted this in RotW.

This is the tileset that is going to use in the main area of the game... so it needs to be good.

And by main area I don't mean it's the biggest or the one you spend the most time in, but it's the one you will pass through the most.

The image is proportional to how much each of the tile types will be used all over the area.... with the exception of the water.

So far I have recived mixed opinions, that's why I decided to bring it to RotW to get more feedback.

Quietus

I can't say I like it much.  The colour seems OK, but seeing it too much might get boring.  There doesn't appear to be as much detail in the tiles, so it looks a little nestroidy. :O_o:

MetroidMst

The attack of the Purple Puke Tileset is on! In all seriousness, I think the tileset is best used for tunnels or 1 scroll area wide/tall rooms, as too much of the stuff gets... annoying.

Lunaria

I should also mention that I have been considering running with a brown palette blend instead of the purple one...

But it all depends on what feedback I get. Ultimately it's my choice, and I know this. But I still want to check in to see what the players of the first one want to have.

I feel that the filler tile does not repeat well. One can distinguish individual tiles.

I agree, it's not supposed to be just 1 filler tile, but a combination of them in random ways. Remember meh?

I do like what's going on in the background very much, though.

Lunaria

Yeah, there are many filler tiles, I just ran into some room space issues that I have to deal with first! =P

I should have mentioned that in retrospect.

Tyjet66

I like the BG and the underwater tiles, but the pink lining and filler needs more detail, as it is now, I think I would get sick of it quickly, also, pink doesn't seem to suit it well.

herald83

Pink puke indeed.  If it were found as a thin strip of ceiling and floor with some non-pink tiles to work with it might be okay.  Also concur with Zeph about the repeatability issue.

Then again, there are a number of hacks with screenshots where I've said "Bleh!" but then in-game they turn out fine.  If it suits you, add my opinion to the rubbish pile and continue onward into the great pink beyond.

Background looks shiny.

Ice Metal 2 is behind closed doors, so to speak. I picked my feedback team and asked a coder for help at the start, things went smoothly.

But I'm facing some issues now...
Two of the three members in the feedback team/group are not very active at responding to me. And the third guy jumped ship as he was not really "that" interested in it from the start. (No offense intended, but I was unsure how to put it.)

As of such, I'm now looking for people to add to the feedback team!

Job include:

1. Give detailed feedback on new content.
2. Providing mental support.
3. Play testing when the time comes.

Requirements:

1. Knowing me. (Face it, I'm not going to pick some random dude I don't know, so don't bother)
2. General SM hacking knowledge.
3. At least played ice metal 1.
4. Patience. This is a big one, due to me deving slowly. But when I need feedback, you need to be there.
5. Opinions. I don't care if you agree or disagree with me, you need to provide some opinions when giving feedback.
6. Being able to be on IRC regularly, in normal situations.

Preferable:

1. Providing your own ideas into the mix.
2. Not being butt hurt when I disagree with you.
3. Your name is DMan.
4. You live in EU time zone.

I'm looking for 1-3 people for this.

If you're interested in joining then do leave a reply... just keep in mind that I'm still the one who picks the team, and if a person does not hold up, I will kick them out. :/

Tyjet66

I fulfill all the requirements, but your preferences I only fulfill 1 and 2.

Orel

I'd be willing to give feedback and do some play testing, however i only fulfill about half of those requirements (3, 4, and 5.) so i'm probably not your guy for the job.  If some other positions show up later on that only include beta testing i'd probably be good for that sort of job.

I hope I don't come off here as begging for betas or anything, i just don't want this one to release with any show stopping bugs like the last one did.

1) umm, i think you know me  :O_o:
2) yea, i know stuff
3) played it and loved it
4) i can do patience
5) i can also do this
6) I'm on irc almost everyday, the only problem i can see here is i have school so i can only be online after that
