Good idea, there's a few hacks that could definitley benefit from something like this. Since I'm not sure of the mechanism of how the ASM draws the outline, how possible would it be to make this function more like a generalized glow (almost like MZM firefleas even versus the ones in SM that only make the background FX glow) Even if it couldn't draw beyond Samus like this:

If it could make Samus's whole sprite "glow" like that to stand out, almost like Metroid Prime's Thermal Visor, that would be cool as hell.
