Metroid Phazon hack help

So I've been getting into some great hacks (Hyper Metroid, Super Metroid Redesign: Axeil Edition,  Metroid Phazon hack) I have Metroid Phazon V0.3 not I've been doing some reading and realize a lot of people prefer the older versions (0.1 & 0.2) Can anybody help me out and give me an accurate description of the differences in updates. What am I missing out on???

Thank you Quietus for the point in the right direction for the patches. But do you know any of the differences between updates? I have had a very tough time trying to fondant kind of answer

Again, I'm not aware of specifics, but there's a tonne of stuff discussed in its thread, much of which Red Monkey acknowledged as 'fixed'.
