You don't [img] a post, genius. >_>

Uhm, excuse me but i did of course so [img] my picture.

Katelyn

What are you trying to say?  :>_>:

snarfblam

DarkSamus, your picture isn't showing up. I don't see anything wrong with the [IMG] tag, though, Shadox. It's the same way I posted mine. The problem is with the attachment.

zephyrtronium

The problem is that he apparently deleted the attachment.

Silver Skree

The problem is that he apparently is an incompetent boob.

11 submissions... this is gonna get exciting.

Anyway, I've picked three favorites, and I'm gonna comment on them:

Webber1900:
Nice layout, good amount of slopes and nice use of the "inner" Crateria tiles. I don't think that the rocks fit there though. They look weird.

Grime:
Awesome. It doesn't reserve an "Awesome!" because that square area around the middle bothers me.

ProjectXVIII:
A good room in all possible ways except where you've used CRE. Those places lack detail.

My vote goes to Grime.

[spoiler=A tip for DarkSamus:]
Use more slopes and add variety to the room. Also, try to not make floating platforms.[/spoiler]

I'm not gonna make a new post for this, but:
DS, you can just do the same thing as you did in the bottom-left corner, close to the door, where you have those two platforms hanging from the inner Crateria tiles. They don't look like they're floating mid-air.

Parabox

Chozunda: Good room. Pretty basic, but good.

DarkSamus: Huge room. Very square. Nonsensical rocks in the background.

Phazar: Good job rebuilding the Tourian escape shaft. Not fond of your doors, though.

snarfblam: Very nice room. You really honour the people who worked on Metroid. Original idea using something else to conceal the Chozo item.

Webber1900: Great room. Very busy background. The Zero Mission rocks peaking out don't go that greatly with the original Crateria tileset. Don't like the one on the right in the middle of that shaft.

uNsane: First Zero Mission room. Nice job. Very techno and abstract.

Grime: Great Temporus room. Very atmospheric.

IMetroRat: You always post rooms without a background and PLMs. Not appealing. Don't like the nonsensical crack on the left side of the room either.

ProjectXVIII: Very Redesign. Go easy with the pipe structures though.

Crys: I like what you did to the first inside Crateria room, which it is if I'm not mistaken. Quite a unique style.

JamieWebb16: Chill room. Also a very busy background.

Vote goes to snarfblam.

                                       My voting choice:

Chozunsda: It's a nice little room, not much to say about it. You'll get 10/11

Darksamus: My room could have gotten rearranged to look better, I did need more slopes. Not much to say about my own room ether. I give myself 7/11

Phazar: Nice Metroid 1 room. It looks a bit repetitive though (square blocks), other than that. Nice Room. I give you 8/11

Snarfblam: HOLY frakING SHIT! Your skills with M1 is amazing, I award M1 skilled people like you an applause. Very Outstanding Work. You get 2/11

Webber1900: I like your designs and such, Palette blends in with the BG. Overall I give you 3/11

Unsane: Very Nice. 1st MZM Room in the rotw, Anyways, I like your tile designs, level design fits in good, BUT your BG has to be fixed. Overall I'd give a 5/11.

Grime: Very nice. I Expected that though. This is what you live up to and it stays that way. 4/11

IMetroRat: This room is small and bland. Could use more slopes. 9/11

ProjectXVIII: A nice big room full of surprises. But I'm suspicious of all that CRE. Sorry but you get 11/11 maybe try to delete some CRE and put more surprises in there.

Crys: Yet again, you make it outlast everyone. People should vote you.
I out witted Snarfblam and gave you 1/11

Finally, JamieWebb16: Like DekuKnight said, A nice chill room. It does look icy, I'm just not sure about the doors though. They don't add up together. you get the last position of 6/11

My vote goes to Crys. Good job

Also @SMILEuser96: I need those Platforms there, otherwise you can't get the Item there.

Quietus

I'm voting for Webber.  My only gripe is the same as DekuKnight's, in that the rocks on the right-hand side of the shaft, which look like three discs stacked up, look really odd.

wat?

I think that the top left could look alot better, but that didn't stop me from voting for him this week.  We discussed it on irc, and it apparently leads to a Wreaked Ship area, and he wanted a mechanical feel to it.  I suggested merging parts of the two tilesets together, so the transition is more smooth.

Silver Skree

Holy balls, this is a big one. It's a damn shame we can only have one winner out of this without some serious coordination to tie it. >_>;

In any case, let's begin. Wall of text incoming:

[spoiler=YOU KNOW YOU TOTALLY WANT TO READ ALL THIS. DO IT, FAGGOTS.]
--------------------------------------
Chozunda: It's a good beginner room, nice and simple. However, you're using Layer2 in this room, so you can't get away with such a low level of detail if you're going to go ahead and add a custom Layer2. Essentially, this room need more varied past-ground tiles, maybe some of the 'foamy' ground, and a LOT more background work. Purple palette looks promising though; stick to it.
--------------------------------------
DarkSamus
: Intense purple sky. Intense grass. Dark orange ground. Blocky. More slopes. More friendly palette. I am, however, digging that silver foamy ground. Do like.
--------------------------------------
Phazar: Yeah. It's this same old shaft. Whoopie. >_>;
--------------------------------------
Snarfblam: God damnit I want to vote for this really really bad. it's WONDEROUS what you do with NEStroid, and    a lot of your posts have me drooling for the hack that they'll be in. Palette, tiles, enemy placement, aesthetic arrangement... Gah, delicous. Love, love, love it.
--------------------------------------
Webber1900: Oooooh. That's cool. EVERYTHING about the palette is good. Delicious subtly desaturated grass. Wonderfully tricky background layer illusions. New-looking behind-ground tiles. And oh, those rocks, those sweet sweet looking rocks. I think they look great; please keep them. Anyway, this room is AWESOME, and definitely would move on to semi-finals for me, were this a tournament.
--------------------------------------
uNsane
: Yup. That's lines. Huzzah for the first MZM submission.
--------------------------------------
Grime: Again, you impress, but I'm becoming... used to your aesthetic. I think you're entering too much of the same too often, but that's just me. It's Grime-grade roomage, and I don't really know what else to say about it that hasn't been said before. Great, solid stuff.
--------------------------------------
IMetroRat: Bland as hell. That either better not be done, or have a really dark FX1 so that you reasoned you wouldn't be able to see any other tiles at all.
--------------------------------------
ProjectXVIII: Woah, CRE spam. Otherwise, it's some nice custom Green Brinstar work. Solid use of plants and CRE, wich mixes well with green Brinstar. Since you've got your backround going on in Custom Layer 2, though, maybe try to add some more tricksy details? Anyway, solid. Good work.
--------------------------------------
Crys: I've seen plenty of this room and this tileset, so it's all kind of old news to me. It's solid, I guess. Sorry, don't really have anything good to write about it.
--------------------------------------
JamieWebb16: Oooh, pretty blue hall. Those fusion-shaped doorcaps and super complex doors look AWESOME and I love them. The palette, the tiles, the doors, the moderate BG... I can't find anything to knock this room for. However, nothing sets it above the bar. It's very pleasant. Do very much like. Do more with this aesthetic; I could see some more good RotW entries come from that tileset and have a very good chance of winning, or at least getting my vote.

===========================

And my winner IIIIIIIIIISSS...

snarfblam. Sexy, sexy tricolor sexiness. Want want want want this hack. Om nom nom nom nom.[/spoiler]

FullOfFail

I'm sure most of what I was going to say in commentary has already been said, so I'll just announce my Vote: Webber.

personitis

Ummm... I-I'll pass on the reply this week. I'll just vote. O_O

DSO

My vote goes to Snarfblam, but everyone should get props for making this an excellent week in general.

Snarfblam's tiles are too epic.

Hmm... I can't really take credit for the tile work. I made the SM-style doors from scratch, but most everything else is ripped from other games, some retouched to suit Metroid.

My submission for this week. Probably a room you might like. Not saying you will. Anyways, here is my pic.

Dark Samus: You should really turn off the BTS for screenshots.  Especially so if you're posting a picture containing BTS errors.

gunnargumpert

Well guys, you maybe already know this room, i broke this rom after having a virus, but a picture has left...

Enjoy the Fireworks:

[spoiler=Carefull!][/spoiler]

@ Grime: Nice Room, by the way, i like it.

Edit: No, the Tiles are not stolen.

Parabox

Nice room, could be curvier. I like how you implemented gravity on the moss on the ceiling.

did you mean my room? how could this room not be curvy enough?

in my opinion, the only problem is, that i have not used all possible datails.

anyway, thanks.
