Finally managed to find one bit in tetrafuse now just one more I can't find it its 4th dot on the map and its starting to frustrate me

Digital_Mantra

Bloody Hell! This is such god tier.
It's like the Aegis that never came.
You horned the ace.

Balchmorn

Hey mantra I hope you managed to make map of phazon bits and also several things I noticed, there is never 2 bits in one room always one per room and it's never on side walls only cecilings or floors

only cecilings or floors
not true. There are some that aren't on the ceiling or floor.

What a bugger, I'll have to grab HxD again to fix that samus screen cause I need to start changing up my beams.
What are these phazon particles? just stuff to get item % ?

edit: umm.. I checked in hxd and the fix is already there. 08 C2 30. There's no 42 or whatever.

Moon Man

I too have all the particles in Tetrafuse except for the 4th dot. Are you sure there is never more than one per room? I noticed that many of these do not show up under x-ray, so I checked every wall very carefully by shooting around with the spazer. Maybe there is an entire hidden room we've missed somewhere. Or, are there more rooms here during the escape sequence?

I can't find the chart in the Sewers either. In the Phazon Mines, I'm missing one.

I have 178 missiles, 50 super missiles, and 48 power bombs, so I'm assuming I'm missing one expansion for missiles and one for power bombs. The missile expansion is in the Phazon Mines behind a green gate that faces inward. I'm not sure how to get it.

Any help is appreciated.

They are for percent primarily, but they also speed up recovery at health stations and in the ridley fight.

Smiley

I'm sure that they also give you something awesome when you find all of them. I also happen to know what that awesome thing is.

Digital_Mantra

I've got one final artifact to find in the sewers according to the ship map room.
The only areas I haven't been afaik are a couple areas blocked off with a purple stone.
Do these require the plasma? If so, can I get a region and a NESW direction?

I have everything but plasma and 1 artifact. (can't see my inventory screen so it's been a pain..)

I can't believe that's the only thing I forgot to make mental note of..

Crashtour99

haha  Happened to me too man.

I loved all the new GFX and misc stuff since the first version.
Easily the best Super Metroid Hack designed yet.

the only 2 problems I encountered were I couldn't access samus' menu screen, and the grey cap wasn't on ridley's door.

I've probably found over 20-30 of those phazon particles, very interesting game mechanic for healing.
I wonder what this 'special' thing is if you find them all.
I'll be keeping a save outside of the ending ship if I ever want to explore for more.

Thanks for such a great game!

Autre31415

I'm stuck at a very aggravating part in this, I'm stuck in a room with 2 White Torizos and I've shot them hundreds upon hundreds of times and they just won't die. The door on the left side acts like it takes damage when I shoot it but also shot it hundreds of times. I don't have the light beam of screw attack. Some assistance please?

Quote58

Autre31415, keep shooting the door. The torizos have like 500000 hp, the doors dies after a while, just use all your super missiles and phazon missiles and it should die pretty soon. You don't need light beam, though you can have it. And you shouldn't have screw attack yet. Good luck!

There's another location in the rom where the string 08 C2 30 exists, but it is earlier. You are specifically looking to change the 42 at $82AB48 to C2. Either way, this fix has worked for me.

SigSauer

I'm not entirely too far into the game, but I did run into a problem.
I've got Red Phason, the Dark Beam, Phason Missiles, and I reached some kind of a spaceship that acts as a portal to the rest of the world. There's a blue hatch that, when I enter it, throws me into a room that's just full of garbage tiles. I get stuck in the floor, and the only way out unfortunately was to just let myself be hit by some kind of invisible enemy near the center of the room.

...on another note, is the save room in the west-most Omnion area supposed to warp you to Valkyrie XI?
A_red_monk_called_Key

Digital_Mantra both those glitches have been fixed and the ips is posted on the first post.

SigSauer that some crazy glitching, anybody else experience the same thing?

SigSauer

Damnit, I'm actually still stuck fighting with the
Torizo thing. That fight's just mean... two energy tanks after being walked into (which he will always do after a flurry of his unavoidable energy blade attacks) and I feel like my attacks are doing nothing to him. Am I actually supposed to fight it? Or is there somewhere else I can go? I feel like the only way I can stand up to it is to stay as far away as possible, either multiple floors under it or above it, firing up or down and hoping to get random hits in.
Quote58

Which torizo? If it's the two white ones, shoot the door. If it's the one in the phazon mines, you just have to fight it.

SigSauer

Yeah, I ended up beating him by just pounding away from above. Now I'm 'stuck' in Valkyrie XI. Not sure if I'm even supposed to be there, to be honest. I'm in this big room with a computer showing a map of what appears to be the Valkyrie Gear, and the door locked me in. The other way out leads to a hall with some unbreakable blocks... I'll have to give it another go after work, but I'm enjoying Phazon a LOT. Finally struggling through Valkyrie XI has left me with a lot of satisfaction.

Zhs2

The Valkyrie XI is endgame. What kind of gamebreaking bug is this?

SigSauer

I'm not sure if it's even 'broken'... I'm just stuck in some kind of computer room that leads into a save room and a room full of what appear to be Metroids. The next room leads into a hall with three sphere-like enemies (with insane amounts of health and damage output for how far I'm apparently into the game). At the end of that hall there's a mess of blocks with a missile pack behind it, and what I assume is the way out. I can't backtrack from the 'computer room' as the door that got me there is sealed now (it turned purple... I shoot it with a missile and it goes gray). Luckily I have a separate state saved from before Valkyrie. I entered the place from a save room in the Westernmost part of the Omnion Drifts. Are you supposed to be taken there like that? Going back through that 'save room' door simply puts you in the middle of Valkyrie; progressing in the room you first enter through the 'save room' leads you to that fish monster from Super, and progressing back through the door you enter Valkyrie from takes you to what ultimately lead to the dead end and Computer Room that I'm stuck in.

Zhs2

No. You're supposed to power bomb your way in through those crates from outside, and that's after you have pretty much every powerup in the game save for Light Beam and Screw Attack. Said Purple Door goes to the endboss and only opens when you have all the Gears.

SigSauer

That's....... very, very, very odd... I came into that computer room through that purple door, after which it locked on me and became purple.... Now that save file is stuck in that room, the only other one I can reach being the power bomb hall and the Metroid Room... I ended up having to fight my way there through some really tough boss and some other insanely-strong (for my equipment on that save file) enemies just to get locked in that computer room. So, I have to go the OTHER way? That's kind of what I gathered, seeing as I fight a boss off the get-go, then progress through 'lighter'-manned rooms to what looks like the way out...

...at any rate, I get warped to the middle of Valkyrie (apparently PAST the boss and really tough enemies, good news I guess) through what my mini map indicates is a save room in Omnion Drifts. I took some screenshots on my main save file of this.

This is the area and door just before the 'save room'.

This is where I am on my map relative to the rest of the area.

Here's the room I get warped directly to...

...and other areas that are, for some reason, already discovered on my map. The tile I'm actually in is off to the left where you can't see it, it's just one tile.

Out of curiosity, what's supposed to be in that save room? Is there something behind it that I need? Am I going to be stuck for the rest of the game without being able to go in there?
