Congratulations. This is the best hack I've ever played. This was completely amazing to play through a second time and discover all these new things. There are a few issues that are still present, such as the one Power Missile just posted, and a few others found perma-stucks in some areas. Despite those this hack is the best Super Metroid hack out to date. I hope you keep hanging around and finish your next hack sometime, because if this is any indicator, it will be an amazing experience.

The only gripe that I really had was that some enemies took a lot to destroy. That isn't bad when used sparingly, but you have it done quite often, and with pretty boring enemy AIs at that. It just breaks up the flow a little too much.

QuoteAm I supposed to be able to walk out of ridley's fight? I would assume not, but the locked door plm is way below the door.
oops. can believe i missed that

edit: both glitches fixed.
I didn't know how to get a screenshot up, but ya, it's a weird glitch.

So it is, I was trying to see if anyone caught it earlier.  Guess I didn't read long enough.

Anyway, yeah, edited my post accordingly.

Balchmorn

i arrived at final room, but cant get in i guess i dont have enough gears, how do i know i have enough and i got them all?

Scyzer

You look at the big unmissable map with the many flashing dots on it.

Balchmorn

yeah how do i tell which ones i have gotten, flashing ones or dull ones?

Quote58

The flashing dots indicate the area wherein you have yet to find the gear.
dull = have it
flashing = don't have it

Steyiak

Can someone please help me? I am stuck. I've been searching for a long time but I cannot find where to go next.
Super missiles
Phazon missiles
Grappling Hook
X-ray vision
all weapons except for Plasma (or whatever it is called in this hack)
Red Phazon Suit
Blue Phazon Suit(The last item I took)
Morphing/Spring Ball
High-Jump Boots
Speed Booster
Quote58

If you just got the blue phazon suit, go get the bombs, they're in the sewers.
fyi, plazma in this game is called the light beam.

Balchmorn

I managed to find all phazon bits in volocano and phazon mines but I can't find hidden red map room in sewers and. Power plant any one know? Currently my pc's net is fubar I am using my fiancee's iPhone till I get net up and running, red map in volocano is not far from mine elevator, I wish there is map that shows the locations of bits

Zhs2

The bits, or Phazon Particles, are for a secret. There are 50 of them total.

The red maps are for pointing out where major items are. The one in Omniom Drifts shows all of them; the others are just conveniently located so you don't have to go all the way back to Omniom Drifts.

Balchmorn

No no I meant the map that show s how many bits left in area

MetroidMst

We're sorry, but your map is in another castle.

(Translated: There is no map for those.)

FPzero

I'm curious what this room's map is telling me. (Spoilers, obviously, also the minimap has been turned off to obscure its location)
The middle row leftmost dot turned off after getting a Phazon Particle in the preceding room.  Only those two dots are off.
Zhs2

I've found a similar board in Omniom Drifts with eight lights on it. Perhaps there is a secret room per area that tells you whether you've collected all of the phazon particles respective to that area, but not necessarily their locations?

FPzero

Yeah, I found that room too.  That explanation would make the most sense but good luck finding these rooms, they're hidden with x-ray no show tiles.  You'd have to press morph ball against every wall in the game to find these rooms.

In other progress, I'm nearing the end now.  I've got the Valkyrie Gear to find and a couple assumed optional items to locate.  Thankfully, I have a lot of places to look with my new power bombs.

Scyzer

They are maps showing how many particles are left in the area probably, similar to the big gear one.

Power Missile

If a room seems to be empty and X-Ray doesn't seem to pick up anything, it's usually a hint that these types of red maps are nearby.

And yes, these indeed do tell how many Phazon Particles you have left.  Flashing dots indicate ones you have not yet gotten, and dots that are off indicate that you have the Phazon Particles already.

Balchmorn

#443
Mines volcano and drift bits are cleaned out, I have 2 more in terafuse but I can't find it and sewer mini map for bits eludes me any one know where?

The Envoy of the Beginning

Inside the room with the two Torizos and the one behind it, the game freezes whenever I use X-Ray.

A_red_monk_called_Key

just curious, how were you able to select the X-Ray in that area?  I put BTS all over that area that prevents the X-Ray from being selected.

Qactis

The game also freezes in the giant map room in the ship when you use xray

Hold dash button then select X-ray

Digital_Mantra

This is without question the best super metroid hack ever made..
but did I do something wrong when I patched it? because the game freezes when I go into samus' specs.

Zhs2

Known and reported. The bug only occurs for people who don't use ZSNES; luckily, easily fixable.
