Cpt.Glitch

Dang dude that sucks. I almost had to do that twice on mine.

Lunaria

This is why you make backups!

Anyway, just load up the default palette from a clean ROM into this one to see if that helps.

You know a hack is gonna be good when it's intentionally "terrible".
Lol. Looking forward to this.

Thanks! I'll have to take care of that this week after classes end.

Followed the suggestion from the thread I posted in Engine Works, and it looks like things are working again.

Though, the tiles in Mother Brain's room specifically are all black now.

UPDATE: Imported another palette. Room's fine now.

Hack is back.

Add some blind and pixel perfect jumps. People loooove those.

Corruptor

dear. god. the spike placement. Seems like something I would yell at...perhaps I should try the first impossible...also dead people on the ceiling. looks like hell to me! perhaps I'll give it a try before breaking me controller in half. Or maybe I won't try it...I don't know how to feel about this.

Quietus

This isn't really like the original Impossible.  The original had lots of spikes early on, but then evened out, and was more trick based, whereas this looks like spike hell throughout.

There will be (I think there already are,) and blind falls as well.

And acid, and (hopefully) Bangs.

The Monster of Surrealton

I might see about getting an early version released before Christmas/New Year's just because I want to see MST and Eppy suffer on their streams playing this.

The Monster of Surrealton

Once I figure out to put Bangs and rising acid into the hack, I should hopefully have an early version up in the next day or so.

Kitsune_Phoenix

What's next after this, Redesign Impossible? I would definitely play that. If I had an SNES emulator on my PS Vita, anyway.

This is very likely in the future.

Vismund Cygnus

I believe that was already done, I think it was called 'Redesign' :^)

zing! Better get drew some burn heal for christmas!

The Monster of Surrealton

Two questions:
1. How do I program rooms to have Bangs?
2. How do I make a patch?

I haven't tinkered with the Bangs, but to make your patch, you just click Tools > IPS > Create IPS Patch, then select your original, unchanged ROM.

The Monster of Surrealton

Have just put up a test version in the OP.

The Monster of Surrealton

I forgot to move the tiles up in the Torizo escape, and the new patch has this fix.

Being able to leave Ceres would be nice?
Why is Ceres even in this when it's not changed at all?

This hack is probably as good as I expect it to be, which means it's crap and I think you actually think we're excited to see this. It's like the hipster of hacks; however just because it's ironically bad, that doesn't mean it's good, at all. And I know you want me to say that, but it's not even funny bad. It's like you know you can't make a good hack so instead you "ironically" make a bad hack when perhaps your skill ceiling is actually incredibly low?

TL;DR learn to make something worth playing

Let. Me. Guess. Static spikes. Everywhere. Am I right?

So many deadly spikes... It's reminded me  "I Wanna Be the Guy". I hope that MST will try to run it. Mu-ha-ha-ha!
Hey, Alisa. Play I Wanna Be The Metroid if you really want THAT amount of spikes. Or Kaizo.

That's weird. I'll see what happened. Maybe it was moving around items, or something.

Just uploaded from the landing site, and it looks fine, so I might just remove the Ceres area if I can't fix it.

Otherwise, Ceres hasn't been changed yet, but I'll redesign the rooms.

Oh no, this is a non-serious hack (also a break from my serious hack) based on stuff I joke around about in MST's streams, specifically Red Crateria and putting lots of spikes/acid/Bangs.

It's also a way to learn the basics of SMILE while hopefully making a mildly annoying/rage-inducing hack.

Moving spikes, but some rooms like the save and recharge rooms have static because SMILE warned me about breaking the rom or something.
