Well, it's still really early, but I figured I might aswell get some feedback. I'm trying to make this hack more based on exploration than difficulty. It's not exactly ground breaking, but it's turning out decent imo. I just wanted to make it to where almost anybody can pick it up and play it. Due to the fact that I'm basing it more on exploration, it's going to be very non-linear. I'll try to make different paths you can chose to acquire the same items, if that makes sense. I'm just going with the flow at this point, so who knows what it'll end up looking like.

The moon area I plan to create. Still need to figure out the proper physics though. Right now I have it underwater, and made it look like Samus is hoping on the surface. However the bubbles and the sound of the bubbles are a problem if I chose to  take that route.

It's looking awesome, FoF. Tileing is good so far, but need just a little improvement. I really like your idea. Lots of luck to you, my friend.

Thank you. Most of the rooms are unpolished. I'm just trying to work out how to connect all the different maps right now. Due to the fact brinstar is now on the surface, I had to do alot of rerouting. Also, there is Ceres, Cere's exterior, space, and the moon. So I used the transportation tube to link that to the actual planet (the transportation tube idea was borrowed). Not sure what Norfair or Red Brinstar will be yet though.

This is looking really good. Take some time to add some complexity to the environment and it'll be up in the elite few. Also yay for moons, although I must say that the pic given doesn't give much of a moon feel to me. Those tiles just don't give off the right vibe, and the palette could use more gray.

Loving the purple in the golden pyramid, looks like it's straight out of AngryFireChozo. I'd tweak the palette you have for the actual "gold" part though.

That is the best use of the Ceres tileset I've seen so far. Your blue Brinstar could really use some extra work as it seems a bit bland though. The trees were awesome too, though it looked kind of weird for the pumpkin creatures to be walking on the background tiles in that room. It looks really good so far though.

The Moon area isnt even remotely close to being done. Infact tha's the only room I made for it so far. The planet needs a better color scheme and I guess I"ll go ahead and make the surface more grey as you said. I was just trying to get the general idea though.

The ceres tileset is so limited I had to use tricky ways to make it work, which in the end produced some interesting results.

That blue room probably will be changed altogether. Using only 5 or 6 tiles for a room that big was a bad idea from the start. The only reason I made it that was was cause the fx1 wouldn't allow rain, like I was wanting. I haven't really perfected the trees yet, that's just what can be from the regular graphics editor. I'll move the pumpkins back down to the real surface, I was just trying new things.

Dude, looking awesome. I just wish you wouldn't have shown as much of Ceres as you did since you already have a video on it already. But still too good. Want, play, now.

The only reason why I showed Ceres again is cause I'm planning to remove the other video. I just wanted to show people who might've not seen it before on here. It'll probably be along time before I actually let anyone play it though. Maybe some beta testing before I'm almost finished, but that's still a loong time away. lol, yeah I like the hearts too, I'll probably make it say health instead of energy/power though.

Thanks Dman. Playing Eris got me thinking outside the box alot. Even with the regular tilesets. I have high hopes that the forest area will be one of the neatest areas in the game. I originally wanted it to look more like a jungle, but I dunno how well that'll turn out.

1. LOL @ FullOfSex

2. The colors were limited. For some reason most of them were either just flat out ugly, or repeats. I'm not exactly a wizard in tilelayerpro, so I'm not sure if I could've got more, I just used what I was given. I will go back and give it a little more detail though as there is a darker shade of purple.

Some room looks a little lacking in detail but the layout doesn't seen too bad. Also the screeny is awesome. =D

I agree. The foreground is meh. Average at best. I'll probably take the toran tileset in tilelayer and alter it a bit. It's supposed to be the exterior of Ceres. So I'll probably add some stars here and there and whatever else I can throw together.

Since it's in the wrecked ship, it glows green :D I've had this idea for awhile, just now got around to making it. That area probably will be like a space pirates HQ or something. I plan to still have a normal wrecked ship too. So I have to be careful o what I edit.

Quick question: Your health blocks - are they supposed to be hearts, or just V's?  If they're meant to be hearts, you may want to move the middle part at the top up.  If not - you're V's look like good V's. :heheh:

They're hearts but I foresee that moving the one middle pixel up would make that a nice flat surface and I don't think it'd look as good as it does now.

I think person may be right on this. Given the pixel width, it's hard to really make it look good. I would increase it 1 pixel, but then it all would be squished together. Since you brought it up, I'll play with it some more, maybe I can get a rounder effect.

My hack really isn't that special Deku. It's actually very sub-par comparatively to the other hacks people are making right now. The other people are just more secretive than I am. I appreciate your interest in it though, I'm trying to make it unique.
