I'm planning on starting a text based browser game again. but i can't decide what concept to use.
These are which i have in mind.
A browser based strategy game, similar to things like travian, tribalwars or ikarium, although not a clone it will have a style of it's own. ( principal is same, build villages, troops etc ).
A browser based mob game, earn money, run busenisses, get into family and kill all in your way to the top.
A online ( trading ) card game, will be a fantasy card game, not the all known casino variants.
A classic RPG game, just leveling, killing stuff FF(=final fantasy) style buy some good equipment and other goodies.

What do you think would be a nice idea.
Please make a list in order from nicest idea to worst, criteria would be hugely appreciated ( i maybe going to run 2 so then i also have the second one decided ).

Thanks in advance,
Laeresh

classic RPG would be my choice, but as you've already had GW, I wouldn't know what you should do next.

Define GW, if that's about the Guild wars forum with intergrated RPG mod, that's not it.
It will be an entirely different system.

This is not an actual project of sound content yet, so I'm going to go ahead and have it moved to Off-Topic.

I'd go for a browser-based knock-down drag-out RPG that is its own story, lore, fighting system, etc. That would be just plain awesome, there aren't many of those these days. :^_^:

There was a really good one I'd played a long time ago that was just a demo (I mean a long time ago. I haven't played internet flash games for about 3 years.) Unfortunately, I'd forgot what it was called, but I do know how it went: The intro consisted of two men who fight a dragon in a tower, and they're all Level 30 and whatnot at the beginning of the game. You win the battle, and it turns out to be two boys playing pretend. Unfortunately, they're about to go on an adventure as a white UFO crashes down somewhere in the vicinity of the village, and the boys go to investigate. The animation was superb; on the overfield, it was all sprite-based, and the gimmicky flash tweening action was limited only to the battle field (wherein even that was used so beautifully that I was rather impressed at battles between a pair of 8-year olds and a few swamp rats!) I think it started with an M, but my memory is rather hazy.

You are talking about flash games, i'm talking about text based MMO's....

OH TEXT BASED I TOTALLY MISSED THAT :railgun:

uhh, an RPG is still cool with me. :^_^: I knew someone that was making an IRC-based one with a bot. Cool stuff. I'll be looking forward to beta-testing if you make one of those, ya hear? >:O

Will look for a framework or engine then.
I suck at building stuff from start, i never know where to start xP.
Also i think an opensource engine/framework would be much more stable and powerfull then something i could ever make on my own.
Edit
Well i found 2 possible sources to use and expand.
The thing is, one is rather story based whilst the other is more of a freeroam and explore.
So the thing is, what would you like to see ^^
