Hey, I'm sweetnumb.  Just heard about the leaderboards here from EternisedDragon and I'm trying to submit a speedrun for YP Hell.  Apparently one cannot submit as their first post so I'm hoping I can submit it after this.
Heyo Sweet. I dunno about you, but I think it'd be sweet to see you doing runs of more hax.

FailedFailure

Ummm,

Hi guys and gals.

Not exactly sure what to write here...
Long time lurker, and decided to make an account for some reason or another.
Not really modding anything myself, though I do enjoy the stuff ya guys put out (well, most of it, anyway).
So thanks for that.

Also used this post to get past the restriction on putting links in posts, as I feel like pointing something out
in another thread, though it could be pointless to do so.

Anyway, thanks for having me.

Welcome to the forum. It doesn't really matter if you're actively hacking or not. Most people here create hacks because they love the game, and sometimes a person like yourself saying you enjoyed something they made can be reward enough. :^_^:

QRIJ

Hello everyone.

I have also been lurking for a while now but never had a need to make an account until now.

Not currently hacking of any sort however, it is not out of the question that I will. Still so much to learn

Quietus

Jump straight in. You just might like it. :^_^:

Dustsoft

Hi I'm new here. Hello everybody

Quietus

Greetings and salutations, Dustsoft. :^_^:

Black Falcon

Welcome you guys, always nice to see the forum grow ever so slightly every time.
Especially if a Quietus awaits you

Evol

Hello, I am Evol, or you can call me Theonesuperx. I am a Metroid fan, my favorite is Metroid Prime 2. I came here to really hopefully find some sprinters for a story I will be writing and hopefully to check out more Super Metroid hacks.  I don't hack SNES games no more right now. Instead, I make games with Game Maker Studio (tho, I have no Metorid fan game in progress. ) so Hi, guys !  : )

Quietus

Hello, Evol. I will call you Evol because it saves 8 keystrokes each time. Welcome to the forum. I'm curious why you need sprinters for your project. Usain Bolt says 'hi'. :^_^:

I can run 400m in under 50 seconds, so I may be able to help you out with your project. Hit me up  :heheh:

Welcome to our little corner of the internet, and enjoy your stay!

I used to be able to. Now I get exhausted just doing one sit-up to get out of bed. :^_^:

Banana-Cyanide

Well to start name is Banana Cyanide. I wouldn't really call myself a Metroid fan but the first Metroid game I played was Metroid Fusion on Visual Boy Advance. I had actually acquired the ROM almost two years ago among other GBA roms but only got around to playing it now because of my very recent purchase of a wired 360 controller.

Shortly after finishing Fusion I played Metroid: Zero Mission and after that I looked up the Metroid series on TVTropes. Think what you will of TVTropes but it was looking through the Super Metroid page that eventually led me to here.

Quietus

It doesn't matter which site brought you here, only that it did. I have no idea what TVTropes is, but it doesn't sound like something I'd want to look up. It has 'meme' written all over it.

The 360 controller is not a bad controller. It's just a shame that the D-pad sucks ass, which can make emulation a chore. In particular, it makes Street Fighter 2 special moves physically painful.

Welcome to the forum. :^_^:

Zero One

TVTropes is the best website and how dare you say anything else.

Quietus

I claim my internet right to freedom of text.

(That white pixel under the emoticon's arm is annoying!)

CaptainIronMan

Hi everyone,

I just found this thread. I joined Metroid Construction about 2 weeks ago. I discovered this site from watching YouTube videos about Super Metroid hacks. I started playing hacks myself, and I reviewed a few on the beta site. The Metroid games are some of my all time favorites. I don't really do much hacking, I tried some of the editors and didn't really get anywhere. I prefer testing out games. From what I have seen so far, Metroid Construction is a pretty sweet site; I'm happy I joined. I hope I can contribute to the awesomeness here. I am also willing to help out in any way that I can.

CaptainIronMan

Quietus

Welcome, CaptainIronMan. Don't worry about not contributing much to the hacking side, as you can still help out in other ways.

P.S. Your name is an anagram of Anti Porn Maniac. :^_^:

MetroidMst

Leave it to Quietus to do a thing.

Anyway, greetings. Adding reviews of hacks and stuff is actually a really great way to contribute, even if you don't hack.

CaptainIronMan

Clever Quietus, very clever.

Ridley

Hey everyone. I just started playing my first Metroid game a few days ago (Super Metroid). It was so good that I lost lots of sleep over it and finished it today. Already it is one of my favorite games of all time.

I have been into ROM hacking for years now, though I've haven't done much worth showing. However, I feel that these forums will be a great help and encouragement to me, as I'd like to create a complete Metroid fan game. I look forward to being a part of this community!

Also, I'm surprised this username wasn't taken...

Ridley probably never wanted to register before due to all the Samus activity.

Anyway, welcome to MetConst. :^_^:

A Dummy

You know, I realized I never actually formally introduced myself here, I just kinda showed up like I've always been here.
I don't really know what to say here, I kinda just stumbled across this site by google searching for Super Metroid Hacking, and I only thought to do that because of another site I found out about called FF6Hacking.

My first experience with Super Metroid hacks was actually from a select few pre-patched roms I found, which included hacks like Legacy, Dependence, Golden Dawn, Impossible, and the original Redesign.
I don't know if it's ok to name sites or not, so I'll just say I found them on a paradise of emus.

Super Metroid has been one of my all time favorite games pretty much since childhood, and I'll still play the original from time to time on the Wii U or on the good old SNES itself.

Steel Sparkle

Welcome to the site friend. This place seems to be full of friendly people and great hacks to play. Im waiting for Quietus to do something funny with you to :3

Anyways you will love it here and even if you don't hack you can always review like they said.
