Just in case anybody is interested, a new version of Parallel Worlds has been released, which fixes a number of serious flaws in the original hack, such as stupid lengthy backtracking and absurd boss fights.

Full details on the RHDN page here.

Sweet I don't think I ever finished Parallel worlds. The parallel tower on second trip is stupid hard. I also never had the blue cane for a good 3/4 of the game and accidently saw how to get it on youtube. Wanna know how hard dungeons in that game are without the cane? ......

These were bugs and not features?

I was wondering when the news about the remodel would get here...

I am almost done with this hack, and I am impressed just how all these hard dungeons are a heck lot easier than the original. Never once had I had to use save states other than to stop playing and saving the game at a later time. I really enjoyed playing this new easier version of this amazing hack!

They most certainly were features, and not bugs.  However, I saw the difficulty level as flawed, since 99% of people never finish it.  Were it designed as a hard-type hack, it'd make sense, but I don't recall it ever really being labelled as such.

This is nice. I got like halfway through the original, but then I read a sign and it corrupted the ROM  :<_<:.
