So, I don't know if this was intentional or not but there is a random speed block in Crocomires room

[spoiler]Yes it is supposed to be there, it is a reference to the Green Chozo Room that was rumoured (?) to exist (?). But yes it is intentional and iirc will be removed soon in the next update whenever that is.[/spoiler]

New version released! 0.7.3. It's not a massive update, but it's still worthy. This thread's first post has all of the goods and info.

Obviously it depends on how much someone has modified their 0.7.2 base rom and which one they chose to start from, but do you anticipate any real issues arising from changing from 0.7.2 to 0.7.3 as a base for work in progress hacks? And I guess I should also ask if you anticipate 0.8 any time this year because if so I might just wait until that arrives instead of redoing my base rom twice in rapid succession.

Some thoughts. not much.
[spoiler]It's project base 0.7.2 with some quality of life changes. I think the hack is as good as it's gonna get. The only possible improvement i can think of is maybe give the game a Graphical overhaul (example being custom graphics), otherwise i don't see how else this could improve. I think the power bombs acting like they do in fusion was a neat touch btw.[/spoiler]

@FPzero I'd just keep working from the 0.7.2 ROM if you've already started on that. 0.7.2 / 0.7.3 aren't easy to re-hack because of how full bank 8F is, lots of broken/disused rooms sitting around in the room list with broken pointers, and level/tile data shoved anywhere that I saw lots of free space, lol. The changes made to 0.7.3 could be manually applied to your hack fairly easily, though. Almost all of the new patches used for it work from a single ASM file, and the rest is mainly small hex edits to various things. The level_entries.txt file for 0.7.2 should also still work for 0.7.3 because I don't think any of the level edits that I made required repoints.

Thanks for letting me know. I didn't want to redo a base rom if I could avoid it, so I'll just (slowly) keep working on the roms I've already started.

1 Question:
Can this hack be used for its moves as base for other hack - Can i apply another ips after this hack to the same file?
For example i want to get Metroid Super Zero Mission with the ability of SM:PB moves.

I would assume so. I would apply it to a vanilla ROM though, as something else may be overridden otherwise. There are already other hacks that use Project Base as a base for it. (Hence the name) Examples include Hyper Metroid and Ancient Chozo.

There's a very good chance that it will not work because Project Base could write custom code to areas where hacks like Super Zero Mission have also written custom code, resulting in conflicts and certain explosions. You can try, but my guess is that it'll fail. But it doesn't hurt to try!

Plus, I think that it also counts as cheating if it were to work. But I also highly doubt that it would work. If you want to do that to another hack though, I'd make sure that your using the gameplay only IPS. I think it only works for hacks that don't have custom code.
