It looks a little bland, add some more detail, like slopes and stuff like that, but that's just my opinion.

It already have slopes...
But I think these slopes need more transition with the Bg. I'll make it better.

Looks okay, I prefer them to look natural though. Like a cracked block that still looks sturdy. This should do for BTS and if you bomb such blocks.

Not to nitpick, but I think those are Mocktroids (don't think I spelled that right) rather than real Metroids. That aside (since it has no bearing on the actual video) that room looks kinda neat. Probably just me, but the background doesn't feel like it goes with the foreground. Then again, I'm probably wrong as I'm no big expert.

Anyway, I noticed something about the video that reminded me of something I wanted to ask.

What exactly is the point of changing the rate of fire and how many shots can appear on the screen at once? I remember seeing this in some hack I played and it just confused me. Why do that and decrease the damage done to an enemy? It strikes me as a bit silly to do that and extend an enemy's life span by about a second or two.

Seems like an odd thing to do to add any sort of difficulty.

It's just personal taste.  Sometimes it may add a better feel to your hack to have a faster fire rate with less damage, but also the other way - once you have charged Plasma, it may make sense to slow the fire rate right down, so you're not killing everything straight away.

Well Plasma usually smokes things pretty well regardless, but I suppose I can a little sense in it. Just felt like a really pointless thing to do unless you want to stretch out the combat due to scattered/few enemies. In that event the damage delt to the player would probably be increased a bit, though that's me trying to think of game balance.

Maybe some people want a more metroid prime like power beam?

I'm hoping that was my ASM I did that allows SFX for items instead of music clips, cause that means it works =D. Did that for grime ages ago, but he didn't say if it worked for him or not.

Other idea is, put all the Metroids in the big bubbles, in a room of 2 states, and in the second state, the Metroids are not in the bubbles anymore...

Well, I've just spent 10 minutes staring at the computer screen tryig to find something different beween other than samus facing a different direction, but to no avail...
I'm going to say the second because samus is facing left, and it's a lot easier for me to mockball to the left than to the right... Anyone got a better reason?

They both have inconsistent lighting highlights at the corners. I do prefer the second, though.
