Black Falcon: yay! I finally got to see the elevator thing you've been going on about! :D

GF Kennon: I'm loving the tileset.  But the foreground dirt tiles should have a bit of variety imo.
The background looks delicious.  I suppose BS did that? Good job Bloodsonic! :D

Crys: Very snazzy grapple beam there.  I should probably do something like that too. <_< >_>

I haven't been hacking much since my internet went out, but I have finally started planning where my items are gonna go and the basic frame of the areas.  I even planned a small 1x1 room where the ceiling crushes you if you take to long (Indiana Jones style).  Its called Temple of Doom, so I might as well stick a few refrences in there. XD

Next time I get on I'll have something to share. :3

No Message Boxes Update
YAY!!!

I know the ship didn't save, because I haven't done the ASM for that part yet. Still having some problems finding the right routines for it (and not having it frak up XD)

Other than that, runs perfectly. Probably won't be the final version though, cause I'm thinking of making it Zero Mission style, where you get a message box for big upgrades, and your first RT/ET/Missile/Super/PB, but not any others. I'll keep it so the map/refill/save stations don't have any boxes though.

I like those orange plants. Make them bombable air for more realism.

Hmm, it would be cool actually if you had a place full of vegetation, and had bombable air plants that could give you stuff. Not rupees tho, maybe energy or something.  :grin:

Nice shell design. Unfortunately, it looks really bad that the midsection of the shell is... rippling, and the rest of the morphball is turning underneath. Either you should make it turn with the morphball, or you should make the shell static...  :smileyspam:

Zhs2: I was not planning on doing anything more with it to be honest. I just wanted to figure out the animation of the ball a bit better. :P

Purple Puke is about halfway done now. Maybe 1/2 more backgrounds and another foreground tile type, then much more detailing to finish it off.

those tiles at the top. are those foreground or background? I'm going to guess foreground, but it looks kinda (read very) confusing.

I could agree with Bloodsonic on that it could be hard to see the BG. But I would have to see it in motion first then. :/

While the picture shows all those types together, I don't intend on using the top and bottom tiles together in the same room.

Yes, the top is foreground. The very upper right however is not.

Earlier Bloodsonic and I compared rooms with the layer2 turned off. Now, in the same spirit, I present to you a room with the foreground turned off.



Currently working towards making it scroll like fog does.

Yes the ship on the right is stationary and you can board it to go inside and fly to different landing sites if you have discovered them.
