So a few months ago I said I would write some sort of remix (along the lines of Metroid Metal). I then spent several hours listening to Symphony Of Samus to find a good song, and finally settled on Emperor Ing's second battle theme, from one of the Metroid Prime games. I've never played them cause I don't have a Wii/GC, so I can't remember if it's MP1 or MP2.

Several months past, and then I actually started to write it out. I recorded it a few days ago, but it's not exactly "great" quality. I don't really have proper recording equipment.

Yup, still awesome

And I see you managed to record it with some sort of quality :P

The multi-talented Sadiztyk Fish strikes again, this time with a lovely tune.
I can't shake the feeling like it's missing something though....

A tad repetitive but pretty good other wise. I'm almost tempted to try my hand at the guitar.

I like it. It also helps that this is a pretty overlooked source (sad as that is). It's not exactly over the bar for something like, say, OC Remix's standards, but it's a good proof-of-concept. A better recording setup, a few more twists to the arrangement, some more fancy percussion work, and maybe a few tracked/arranged instruments over the preformed trakcs would give this song everything it needs to reach full glory, I believe.

Haha thanks =)
It is pretty empty in terms of what was in the original theme though, so I'll probably end up rewriting it with more tracks (there's 8 in that version), and adding in just all the little stuff that makes it sounds much more complete.
