Musical collaboration online is hard for reasons mentioned in the first post, and because it's likely that everyone will have different ideas as to what kind of song it should be. I've been doing this crap for going on four years and have yet to collaborate in-depth with anybody beyond mixing something of theirs into a track of mine. G'luck.

I'm on some electronica boards and collaborating is near impossible. Few and far between from happening.
In fact, simply sharing a new tune of yours makes you a spammer and their apathetic fingers skip past your thread like it doesn't even exist.

Collabs in general don't fly.
I'm sure a lot of game company teams have 'creative difference wars' with each other but they're getting paid so they have to keep their mouth shut.
