From what I've seen, you're a talented room designer.
However, the whole pipes going through crateria all over the place is getting a little cliche..

Crocomire

keep it up,looks awsome!

hope to see more :)

Update: One new Screenshot. Check first post.

I got a quick question to ask the community.

Which doors do you prefer?

Metroid Fusion doors:

or

Super Metroid doors:

SUPER METROID DOORS

^ This.

If anyone comes in here and bitch about redesign I will bitch slap them.

Quietus

Yup.  Super's doors.  Especially now you have that darker palette on them.

Kasel

Seems like the SM doors are the favourite of the community.  Hmm...Here's what I think I'm going to do....I have...Plans so to speak for the region of Argol and the MF doors will fit that scene perfectly if all goes well.  So for the most part, SM doors will be used...but for that little section I have plans for, I'll use MF doors.  Does that work for you all?

zephyrtronium

no doors only windows
actually no windows only linux

VideoGeemer

Why not a new door design that combines ideas from each? One is really round and smooth, and the other is really squared and boxey. Both look cool, but something in the middle IMO could look really awesome.

Well, it could be due to the fact that not everyone is able to draw new doors. :p

Yeah, fair enough. At first glance, the ones he had there looked new, but then I realized they're modified R****ign (because some around here may see that as an offense) doors, hehe. :)

PS: In this case, I think I'll vote Super as well...

Kasel

It's alright to say Redesign in my thread for I have 100% full permission to use the CRE and the Crateria set. ^^  Well.  It's decided.  SM Doors will be used for 75% of the planet.  MF Doors will be used for the other 25%.  (I have a really good idea that I'm hoping goes through like I plan.)

P.S:  About creating new doors.  I do not have any sort of skill to do that.  I'm a terrible artist with a pencil or with a mouse.  I won't even make an attempt because they would shame me.

Yeah, I know, hehe. That was a bit of a joke. :P

Hmm ... this could be quite cool, at least, if I understand what you're getting at.

I have hit a snag and I branch out to the community once more.  I need Fusion Tilesets.  If you have any laying around and they are in GFX format, I would appreciate being able to take them off your hands.  Thank you.

Lunaria

You could have checked main site.

IIRC, this is the reef area in sector 4: [Link]

IIRC both squishy and james have ripped a few more tilesets from fusion, you should ask them and see if they are willing to share!

Kasel

Update: Two new screenshots have been added to the wall in the first post.  On the same note, I almost have all 15 original rooms completed and a small test demo will be released.  Current release date will vary between a few days to a week depending on if I have enough time to finish the few remaining rooms and to go through each of the finished rooms, fixing things as I see them.  ^^

VideoGeemer

In that last screenshot, the white of the blocks seems to clash with the brightest part of the doors, etc. being grey. Perhaps a silver compromise for both would look more consistent?

I'm going to be fixing the palette a little more before the test demo is released.  Don't worry about that.

Kasel

I'm to have to push back any demo releases for the time being. To when, I don't know. My computer started fucking up the other day so I had to restore it...and in doing so, I lost several completed rooms that will now have to be completely redone. I'm going to resume work on it but for now until all the previous work has been redone, there will not be any new updates.

Thank you.

Kasel

I have begun work on Eternity again after a well needed break.  I still have to redo those rooms but it shouldn't take me too long, although a demo still seems to be a little ways away.  I'll keep you guys posted. :3

Kasel

Update! =D

Eternity is now back in full swing.  A demo will be released soon.  All that's left to do before it can be released is to go through and fix the few tile errors I've found, fix a few permastucks, add and edit enemies,  and design at least one more room. ^^  It's very close people, very close.

Stay tuned!

Kasel

The first demo is ready.  Please check first post.

Quietus

Enemy placement was annoying in parts, as you'd get hit without even seeing them.  Room layout seemed very Redesign, but since that's the intent, I guess you succeeded.  A few permastucks in the first few rooms, but they're easily fixed.

Kasel

Well the only "Redesign" set that should really be "Redesign" like is the Crateria set. O.o Hm. I guess I didn't notice it.  As for enemy placements, thanks.  I'll take that to note and fix them in the next release.  The perma-stucks will also be fixed as well.
