Hey Guys,

I just wanted to let you know, that I am still alive.

My real day job kept me pretty busy (which is also exciting!), plus I started learning C++ for UE4 as well.

I coded a player controller and started with the first basic running animation this week.

I know, that it is crappy, but I intend on making it awesome!

It's not a bad start.  I'd say the most obvious problem at the moment is that the basic striding animation cycles way too quickly.  Running like that, she wouldn't even need a speed booster. :^_^:

Do you mean the basic translation in x m/s or the speed of the animation itself (it is currently at 1.8 speed in the video :P)

I am open for all kind of suggestions

I was referring to the animation.  If I had to guess, I'd say it's about 80% faster than it should be... :oh:

It´s not hard to guess the exact amount, when I stated it in my post :P

Anyway, here´s the animation at regular speed, which was done frame by frame after the reference sprites
(I used the method I wanted to, when I started the thread, thanks again btw).

Its by far not finished. It still looks really stiff, and I did it in a really short amount of time.
I also coded the subtle camera lag, which the original snes version has. It´s funny what you notice, when you reverse engineer a game. Never saw that before :D
