Metroid + plus saving issues

I got Metroid plus saving by snarfblam on an easy flash omega an noticed that when I sut down the GBA SP the saves dissapeared. Does anyone know how to get the saves to stay?

I think that is the result of the flahs cart not being compatible without performing an additional patch from the manufacturer.

What do you mean with additional patches from the manufacturer? It works find with other hacks and the plus saving works in one of the hacks just not all of them.
