What does this patch do?
Never heard of that.

Check out the pinned threads on r/am2r. It adds all kinds of fixes and content to am2r. a graphics update is also on its way soon.

Off the top of my head, includes an Android port, item randomizer built in, Gameboy shader. Fusion mode where enemies deal four times as much damage, Samus is in her fusion suit and X and X Cores have been added. Lotsa bug fixes as well.
