SMILE Help!

I'm new to the hacking scene, and haven't really started yet, but I really want to make an SM hack. But the problem is, I CANNOT GET SMILE TO RUN ON MY COMPUTER! I have a Windows 10, just FYI.

Please be more specific about your problem. Do you have the right ROM? What kind of error is preventing SMILE from running? Did you look at the SMILE FAQs and Super Metroid Mod Manual? This seems more like a question for the Engine Works thread, but I don't have the authority to move it. The most common problems I would think would be either not having a ROM, or not having a Plugins folder in the files folder. It is also important to mention which version of SMILE you are using, at that impacts what you need to do to run it. I will vouch that SMILE does in fact run on Windows 10. (At least SMILE 2.5, but I see no reason why RF would not work too.)

I have an English 1.0 ROM, SMILE 2.5, and my ROM will not show up in the pop-up File Folder. I've moved it to every folder, even my desktop, but it won't let me select it!

Welp, I figured out how to fix it. I had to NOT be lazy and actually type in the file name.
