SMILE Editor UI

Will there ever be a UI update to SMILE? I'm a bit out of the loop, so I'm not sure if SMILE is still in development or not. I just feel like the UI is a bit outdated and not really user friendly, could just be me though.

SMILE itself has been discontinued by the original creator (Jathys) and picked up again by both JAM (SMILE JX) and Scyzer (SMILE RF)

SMILE JX basically picks up where Jathys had left off with his latest build, fixes many of its bugs and adds lots of new features.
SMILE RF has a completly new GUI and also adds tons of new features, though it could get intimidating for newcomers, as it's meant for more advanced users.

Besides that, SMILE 2.5 is the last stable version by Jathys, which is still useful for simple tasks sometimes (I assume you referred to this version)

For any more info on how to edit everything Super Metroid, refer to the Super Metroid Mod Manual made by Begrimed.
