I've played Saboteur on my Amstrad, and Addam's Family on my SNES. I recall Saboteur having difficulty levels, and as well as varying the difficulty, it also changed the location of your objectives. I recall level two being the easiest, but that may just have been because I knew where the items were. I'd suggest adding the Dizzy games to your list. All of the core games are worth playing. Death Stalker is another good game from the same era. If you're playing the Addam's Family, you may as well do Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt. I'd say it's more of a straight-u platformer.

You could also add Prince of Persia and Flashback.

I'll add more once I've had a think. :^_^:

That sounds pretty ambitious for the time, looking forward to trying Saboteur. Good call on Dizzy, those games completely slipped my mind.

Oh yeah, and Flashback is a given. Not sure about PoP or Another World, those are borderline cases I think.
