Got it, thanks! Beat the game a little over 4 hours with 92.7% items. Interesting hack. Liked the new PB explosion, reminds me of the glitch bombs from Axiom Verge. Map could be a little better with the doors shown but that's just me. Worth trying out, good hack.

Super Metroid / Re: windows problem

Unfortuntately you are a bit out of luck here. Almost all hacking tools we use are exclusively developed for windows and they are not natively compatible with Linux. Wine or some other compatibility layer are your only options.

I know that at least the main editor for Metroid Zero Mission, MAGE, is working through wine on Linux. For Super Metroid people alre now also commonly using SMART instead of SMILE. I dont know if there has been any effort in trying to run SMART through wine. This might be a good next step to try.

Last post by dolphinotroid17 - Today at 11:41:10 AM
i made this because i want to get into hacking but i don't have the money to buy a computer that has windows on it and i've been unable to get it to dual boot with linux and the wine version of smile won't work however i cant fully switch to windows because the computer that i do have is shared with my brother and he refuses to fully switch to windows "because its horrible" according to him

Deactivate the kaleidoscope mid-turnaround to force yourself to stand up. The timing's a bit finnicky, but I'm sure you can manage after a few tries.

Beat it.  Never found plasma beam or space jump.

Plasma Beam can be found close to where you started in the game, has this weird-looking gate that can only be opened with Ice, be sure to use PBs to clear up the stuff around it. Space Jump can be accessible after beating the GT, go back up and head left from the statues until you come across an area with the blue pirates and a metal bridge that's actually speed booster blocks. You might have to traverse a fair bit until you find that particular area. Good luck!

Take another look at the statue room.
