Hard agree with the F510. Wish I didn't bust mine. Personally I use an F710 for a private weekly Metroid romhacks stream (Super or GBATroids, whatever's available and fits my fancy) and for basically anything else I would need a controller for. I don't often see too little precision with my play using one, but I guess YMMV.

On a side note suggestion it could be worth looking into turning oldish or unused handhelds into portable SNES emulators - PSPs and 3DSes will fit the bill easily, a DS can potentially emulate SNES too with a flash card but the emulators for it aren't great or getting touched by this point. You know you won't be getting input lag with those. Failing that, there are markets out there for cheap handheld computers that look like Game Boys and run Linux these days...

I loved this hack! Super fun, challenging, and creative. I can't imagine how much time it took to put this together! Thanks so much, it was really a treat and a lot of fun.

I enjoyed all the puzzles, especially the tricky Shinespark ones. The ending was great - the last two bosses were especially cool. I thought it was all done, and then there was a little more.

I managed to get 99% of items on the New Game, just missed one in Acead. I'll have to check your map here and see if I can find that.

Thanks for a great game!

in my opinion, the gold standard would be the logitech f510, but it got discontinued a while ago. the f310 is a perfectly good replacement, and is still in production, with the only missing feature being it doesn't have rumble (which you wouldn't be needing for SNES games anyway). the f710 is also still in production and does have rumble, but it's wireless, which introduces significant input delay.

if you can find an f510 grab it, if not the f310 is perfectly solid.

Need one that has no input delay, as I'm trying to improve my game at Arcade and need a controller that won't handicap my play.

Hello!
Progress is going well. The project hasn't gotten a new update yet, but it has been worked on regularly over the past year. I've been focusing a lot on the engine side of things, Loeder has completely redone the Samus animations, and Small Watch has been developing additional visual assets for the game. You can see both of their work here in this demonstration of the new missile doors:
Blast Shield.gif

There are also some new options coming to the Enigma generator, like allowing different map layouts and having starting items. So those will hopefully make Enigma more customizable and interesting!

It will probably still be a couple months before these changes are released and get moved to a stable version.

Mr P. Yoshi, I think your game is phenominal, and I am having a blast playing through a new and beautiful version of a game I love dearly. Furthermore, I have a suggestion: I think you should change Junko's spin animation such that she spins corkscrew, like a ballerina, rather than in a front flip style. I think that would be really cool, and add a lot of uniqueness to an already very unique and cool thing.

RE:ZM Version 1.30 Release

The download link is in the original post about it.
Also know that 1.30 fixes a lot and have a lot of idea i couldn't fit properly in older version
by not knowning how to make it , which is mostly why i took said break (and focus on IRL stuff / other project).

There is a list of all the change made for 1.30:
-Varia suit actually had a glow up, allowing to run faster (also reduced speedbooster timer to avoid issue)
-Map Tile are revamped + is showing the correct palette.
-Text Language in the option menu in all language shown the proper SNES and NESTROID Text (If unlocked for the later)
-Beam Burst for Snes control is implemented. (SNES Control Have Beam Burst , GBA is keeping R-shot)
-SNES Control was implemented , you can swap in the option menu.
-File Select GFX being polished (less beta-like timer + screw attack when file is completted fitting more the current BG color)
-Map update gfx should not corrupt / freak out any longer (even if it was rarely the case).
-Soundtest Track list was expanded by 20 , going from 23 to 43. (Thanks Kilywily for the asm fix !)
-Crateria Room 3 (Brinstar Elevator) door is now an event locked door until you kill mother brain.
-Power bomb door at Crateria room 9 is now event locked until you killed mother brain, same for room 7.
-Chozodia / Mother-Ship E-tank Shortcut Door GFX got fixed (show mother ship one if entering it , Zebeth if exiting.)
-Fixed Chozodia / Space-Pirate Mothership Room 1F (Moved the space pirate to one block to the left)
-Fixed non-full power suit jumping Gfx (belly part was in the wrong color in og / 2004 game.)
-You can select your difficulty in time-attack mode.
-Blue zeela eyes had issue initializing properly , it is fixed now [was ignoring Speed-Booster I-frame in version 1.20]

All older and others change are listed on the read me file.
i'm posting this version as all i mostly wanted to put and "rectifie" was done.
If you find any issue or glitch related to it , just let me know about it and i'll see what i can do.

Pretty alright. You spend a lot of the hack suitless but end up finding a bunch of useful upgrades that make up the difference lying around everywhere. It's very possible to enter Norfair without Varia suit, especially since you need to beat Phantoon, enter Maridia, and beat Botwoon just to find Varia suit. (If you can locate the entrance to Norfair, that is.) Once you find Varia suit it's all smooth sailing, but before that watch out for Giant Sidehoppers. The guy who made this hack has a fetish for pre-Varia Giant Sidehoppers, I'm not even joking. The escape is slightly changed but no worse for wear. Probably THE worst part of this hack is that the door to the animals is locked during the escape, like the author didn't even know you could rescue them. Overall worth the playthrough, and you don't need to play in the lava before Gravity like you need to play in the water to find Varia.
