From reading the thread it seems my next pickup should be the wave beam.  My last two were spring ball and speed booster.  Hint as to where I should be looking?  It's a pretty big map.

Meowmaritus' Simple Event Grey Doors Lite

Reuploaded with permission from Meowmaritus. (This was a casualty of the Metconst hack of 2024.)

Description (from main site):

Simple Event Grey Doors Lite

Includes an ASM file (only tested with asar), as well as some assets for SMART which allow you to easily see and edit the doors (instructions in readme.txt).

Adds 4 new types of grey door PLM.
These PLMs work just like vanilla grey doors except the Open Condition value of their room argument has been replaced with a selectable event ID value. The doors will unlock when the selected event ID has been set. This value can only go from 00 to 7F due to limitations, but on a more positive note, these doors are compatible with SMART's "Reassign door PLM IDs" functionality for convenience.

Because these use the standard door ID system, they have properly working unlock behavior where they will be flashing blue until you open each one individually for the first time. That is the reason I made this instead of using the very nice existing extended event door resources here on metconst. The other resources all have limitations in their functionality or setup that make them slightly weird compared to the normal grey doors or just inconvenient to setup/manage. This resource of course also has a limitation, but it's only a limitation of the event ID. If 7F events is enough for you, then you should absolutely use this for a very simple drop in solution for grey doors that open when an event flag is set.

See readme.txt for the technical info about the 00 to 7F limitation, the PLM IDs, and instructions on how to install the SMART assets. The .asm file is heavily commented and has instructions for repointing the code in case of a conflict.

Update 1.1:
- Fixed issue where entering a room and having an Event Grey Door cap close behind you could either freeze the game or cause the door's unlock status to be incorrect until the room is reloaded.

Quote from: UDtheAesir on February 15, 2025, 02:27:08 PMCan't seem to find Wave Beam and Super Missiles, got a feeling I need the Wave Beam first but could be wrong.
I got the first Super Missile pack in Aquaria, but before that I got the Aqua Suit in Solaria. I got Wave Beam (Infra Beam) later, but also this can be because  I made a blue gate glitch.

Ah. Can never pull off the blue gate glitch. From what I can tell, the intended progression is as follows: Infra Beam, Aqua Suit, then Supers.

This is a Super Metroid forum; naturally, most people are going to answer with "Super Metroid", including me.

Say, what's the difference between v2.3 and v2.4 hard?  I mean, if there was some kind of update, then I would assume there would be v2.4 (normal) as well, but there isn't.

Also, bug report for v2.3 thus far (I didn't play v2.4 hard, since I'm no SM expert):
1) In Ice Beam room, if you exit to the left then come back, the green door to the right is gone.
2) In Spore Spawn room, after you beat it and you exit the room to the non-green door (right) and then you come back, the green door to the left is gone.
3) In Kraid room, if you pause the game, the map is all weird.
