I actually tried to see if you could win without it, but, you need it to get speedbooster.  I think that's the only place you actually NEED it to win.  Everything else is doable with bombs.

Yep the Spring ball thing happened to me too. Had done a thorough search, figured it was hidden somewhere ridiculous, and stopped playing. Will try it again now fixed.  Thanks

Problem.
I accidentally shattered the Maridia glass tube, and now that I have the Speed Booster, there's no running space for me to barge into Kraid.
Any advice?

Can you do a 2 tap short charge? If not, there's a ton of videos on YouTube.

In the most recent version I played the super blocks to get into Kraid's lair were changed to speed blocks.  Super short charge is well beyond any other required skills in this hack so if breaking the tube makes it impossible to enter Kraid without it, this should probably be fixed in some fashion.  And caauyjdp I see you now corrected your post.

v1.7 is now available, should be able to cross the bridge whether glass is broken or not now. I still have trouble w/ super short charges. I remember the first time I accomplished one, back in the original Cliffhanger. Gosh the memories.   :^_^:

note: If you've saved at the water save station you will not be able to resume from that point as it is now inaccessible due to reconstruction.

Funfar has now been updated to v1.8. Those of you who downloaded v1.7, you have a unique version in that, if you grab the new missile added to the sprongball(morph) room, you will lose the ability to obtain Varia suit. In other words, it's a trap!  :evilno:

Unfortunately, during my escape from the crumbling Zebes, I ran into another issue.
THE DOOR TO THE SHIP WAS LOCKED.
There's no other way out, and with my game paused, I only have half a minute left to go on and git.
Did I do something wrong or is there another way out that I'm not looking for hard enough?

The way out is having to bomb and go down the long way around.

Where you ran into the locked door in the room left of the ship, you then need to go down and around, so to get to the ship you need to get to the room right of the landing site.

In the room where you encountered the locked door (Parlor, room to the left of landing site)
-bomb blocks
-go down and around
-go to escape shaft
-go down to morph room
-go left
-go down, around, and up to how you would get to the room to the right of the ship

I see Zebesian figured out the Kraid entrance and an update was also done, but out of curiosity and previously just assuming it would take a 2 tap to get blue before the Kraid entrance blocks...in actuality you can stand in the left door of the adjacent room and get blue with just a quick charge or "1 tap" assuming you are aligned with Samus' visor in the door.
