so what're the changes from the base game? are only the described areas changed or all? I see the map is roughly the same

I completely missed that I could walljump up to a different WS entrance.  Totally back on my way now, thanks.

Hint as to the area where I should be looking for speedboost?  Every potential path of advancement seems to require it.

Those are basically the only 3 areas that exist. The rest plays like a boss rush sort of.
58%=100%, all major items are somewhere in the game, except you only can get one reserve tank.

Didn't look at screenshots/description, took me some 20 minutes to find first item
But hack was was more fun after that

Anyway, a small issue, door back from mb room leads back to vanilla area, which i suppose could be intended to get to a refill. But another similar issue, in escape, elevator room, door back back left doesn't lock and if you go there you won't be able to escape. Also, since you're not locking other escape doors, you can get to a save and remove the timer.

Hack could maybe be trimmed down more, things like purely vanilla billy mays was slightly disappointing.

edit: and after bowling chozo releases you, screen doesn't scroll right untill you reenter room

Still looking for a hint as to where I should be searching for speedboost if anyone knows.  It's one of three major items I don't have and I think what I need next.

I also don't have [spoiler]gravity and plasma.  All major bosses dead but Kraid (seem to need speed to enter his area)[/spoiler]

Of course.  Had been there earlier but thought I remembered it being blocked by speed blocks too.  All items now obtained.

Yes it's funny about the scroll in bowling chozo room, nothing I did could remedy that. So in a way that's a part of the game. This hack wasn't really intended to be all that extravagant anyways lol. Working titles for it were 'super weektroid 2' and 'not bad for a pedro hack'  :razz:

I'm glad everyone had fun w/ it, and thanks letsplay for the map!  :^_^:

check my map it helps. try checking next to the ship you might be missing that one.

I got 57% too on my last run, could've sworn I got everything.. checked Letsplay's map and yep, that little bugger that's right next to the Plasma. The one that's like always there and I keep missing that one :eyeroll: :lol:

Is it 95, 20 and 20 or 100, 20 and 15?  I honestly have no idea which pickup I missed.  I got the one outside the plasma room and the one near the ship.  I'm pretty stumped.

Another one thats easily missable is the second missile by the reserve tank in upper brinstar. You don't pick it up at first b'cuz u don't have bombs yet.

edit: I should've said if you mockballed to get the reserve tank

I skipped the one embedded in the wall in the NW corner of the outside wrecked ship area.  I've found everything now.

Edit:  I'm replaying this, forgot to get spring ball early, and when I go back to it's location with the planet active it doesn't seem to be there anymore.  Weird.

Edit2:  Confirmed.  If you don't get Spring ball right away, it disappears.

Thanks Donny, yes I figured someone might run into that situation someday. Maybe will have to change the missile in that room to spring ball as well. Or I could just leave it as is and make it part of the game. Either way, it's wise to obtain spring ball before morph as it's a required item.  :bounce:

Changing the missile to spring ball would make it so spring is always obtainable in either state of the room. As it is there can be only 1 Bts in either state, spring or missiles. But anyways, yeah I should probably fix it, kind of a bummer if you're stuck w/o it and don't know why or where.
