Sapphron

Do you plan on uploading this to main site?

P0ZN0

@Sapphron, if its good enough, I would like to. Though, I am not too sure how for this site.

Sapphron

Log into the main site https://metroidconstruction.com/hacks.php and click Submit a new hack. Some screenshots, a description, and a direct download link like this: https://forum.metroidconstruction.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=5274.0;attach=5600

P0ZN0

Ok, thanks for the info and the url example. That might've ended up being a follow on question without it

DonnyDonovan

So is this basically vanilla M1 with some QoL enhancements, or is it something more than that?

P0ZN0

Yeah, it's essentially just vanilla with updates to samus with custom asm for her and Ridley mostly. Though the level design and enemy sprites are basically the same except editing the levels just enough to "fit" samus in.

I can't seem to open this hack on neither snes9x 1.58, 1.60 or even Bizhawk. Lunar IPS doesn't even indicate its icon in the file, and patching manually from the program doesn't work...
Edit: lol i'm dumb it's a nestroid romhack

Sapphron

it's a nes game. use mesen/fceux
(it has [m1] in the title, man  )

I beg you, please don't fix this.

I figured that glitch may have been possible, now it's confirmed . Because the stand up routine is the same as from coming from a ball, then it can cause a midair crouch. After reviewing the code I can see why it does allow for that to happen that past me couldn't figure out. And it's an embarrassingly easy fix. Though the video was pretty funny . A future patch that is planned will fix it though, sorry.

Well at least you found it funny :P

Are you planning on adding anything else to samus's moveset, like mid-air morphing or downwards shooting? I think it would be cool, and would make the revamped ridley fight far less frustrating.

As of now, there really isn't any sprite table space to allow for additional samus tiles as the current set pushed beyond the original's space. However, I've been considering a change to how the animations work to allow for an expanded tileset. (Think prince of persia for the NES). I've been avoiding rom expansion to see what I can do with the base game itself though with the planned changes, deleting and optimizing data might not be enough for drastic new changes. Soooo... Maybe  :yay:
