Custom Opening Text

So over the last few days, I've been looking into how to edit the text that flashes on-screen in the opening before the title screen, because I wanted the hack that I am working on to have all of it's plot and story contained within the game.

After a bit of digging, a guy called somerando(caauyjdp)#9419 on discord managed to find the offsets for where the text is in the rom. However, it turns out that the developers only created the BARE MINIMUM of graphics for that font, so letters like Q, J, K, and U were missing, among all number digits besides 0, 1, and 5.

So basically, I added the missing characters, changed the text to account for the added characters, exported a patch, and included instructions on how to edit it for anyone who is making a rom hack.

Anyway, serious shoutouts to somerando, I wouldn't have been able to do this without them.
