I'm looking for one or two thrustworthy beta testers for my upcoming dating simulator hack to iron out any possible issue. Said hack is *almost* finished and I thought it could use some external testing for once... right? The hack is speedrun oriented and veteran difficulty so decent playing skills are required. In case you're interested in this then do leave a reply. I leave the thread open for a few days before picking someone as beta tester eventually.

Call me Alucard because I am interested in this. Not sure how you quantify trustworthiness but hey, I've beta-tested other hacks in the past and they all came out so I have a pretty good record there, right?

I'd be down to try it, I would consider myself meticulous enough. I do have some other stuff on my plate but I could try and make some room

I'm down for beta testing. If it helps, I've beta tested two other hacks (project base and hyper metroid) before. It will also give me the possibility of testing it to see if it works on Wii VC. For the speedrun oriented part, I do speedrun multiple romhacks.

I'd be willing and would have plenty of free time in the foreseeable future to put some thorough efforts into testing this hack for close to most aspects I can think of to be asked for looking into them (and a while ago I put up a long list of potential causes for bugs, stucks, and crashes that one can check through in general: http://forum.metroidconstruction.com/index.php/topic,4815.msg64359.html#msg64359 ). I've got broad knowledge about the game in terms of mechanics (and experimenting with them) aswell as what SM hacks in general do and are like, and should also be able to keep up with and check its veteran difficulty and speedruns related aspects. I've got decent experience from beta-testing SM hacks in the past such as SM Nature, SM Ascent, SM Exertion, and recently SM Pit of 100 Trials (which isn't public yet). However, to point this out right away, I would not be able to test if the hack would work on Wii VC or a real console via SD2SNES as I don't have that setup, but I could test the hack on a variety of emulators.

Not interested but wanted to chime in and say Aran;Jaeger would be a good choice. He's a thorough guy, and an atheist.

Awesome to see that this is nearing completion! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested, but I don't have the time to devote to thorough bug testing right now.

I'm actually just posting to also suggest that Aran;Jaegar be one of your testers. Not to try and turn this thread into a list of people vouching for other people, but he's very capable of finding things that others might miss.

Are we requiring TAS-level skills or just ordinary speedrun level skills? Or both?  :heheh:
Either way, I'd like to throw my hat into the ring and say I'm interested in testing this thing. (As if I have nothing better to do stuck in my university room!)

In terms of vouching, I vaguely remember the delight/pain Aran gave me by looking through all my rooms in SMILE to make sure there weren't any tiling errors or wrong BTS where there shouldn't have been. He is very thorough in his methods, so be prepared for that.

@Kazuto : The upcoming hack has nothing to do with Animetroid and has not been announced yet.
Anyway, thanks for the quick replies everyone, I'll send a PM to chosen people whenever possible.

Ahh, my bad. Regardless, good luck with testing, anyway!
