Norfair Chozo near Ridley not activating

does anyone knows why the chozo that opens the path to the screw attack does not activate?
(im not talking about the boss, im talking about the one before that you have to morph ball that lowers the acid)
(also i first thought it was because of a SM hack i was playing but then happened again on another one idk maybe is something im doing wrong?)

The statue only activates if you have acquired space jump in vanilla.

The item can also be changed, so if you're playing a hack, there's no way to know which item lowers it, but it's fairly safe to assume you don't have the correct item.

Damn, for some reason I was thinking it's gravity suit. Pretty easy to find the place in code, and change item if you're into that kind of thing.

Alternatively, you could pretty easily just NOP the item check out entirely through ASM
