I'm always iffy with Let's Plays, because I can never figure out what the goals are.  Originally, when I first started watching Let's Plays, they were experienced players, showcasing games, showing viewers stuff they may normally miss, or in-depth information about the game / mechanics / tricks / glitches.

From the POV of a raocow fan, I watch LPs for the entertaining experience of watching someone play a properly challenging game that I wouldn't neccessarily want to play myself. The commentary makes me happy to be going along with him on his adventure, and it's entertaining and silly.

A good Let's Player also knows how to pick good games for LPing.

He's pretty funny though, as a few people I know can attest to.

The biggest problem I usually have with LPs is that I'm not interested in commentary. I'd rather just watch someone play through the game without a voice-over, or better yet, play the game myself! That's just my (lack of) interest on the matter, though. As long as people are having fun playing games better for other people (and making their commentary just as interesting to listen to, as well)...!

I've been looking into purchasing a new camcorder.

My old one is a Sony DCR-TRV38 Digital Handycam. Total Shit, incompatible with win7 OS.
Served me well for a decade, but I want something with HD 1080p, amazing quality and shit.
I just don't know much about all these new specs and what to look out for.

Did some searching but there's so many models out there.
Looking to spend anywhere from 400-800$ CAD.

The 'Canon Vixia HFM40' looked decent (700$).
Yet I'm a nubling when it comes to new technology.

tl;dr:
Any camcorder owners out there who can share some opinions?
It would be very helpful, and possibly save me from making a bad purchase.

Today, I've made a decision. I decided to retire from hacking all together.  :cry:
You guys may have not known me very well, but I did have a hack in the works. Now that I'm a little older, It's beginning to think that I'm "required" to finish everything.

With that being said: DarkSamus-Sorry I could not get to those graphics. I never had the time to take up that commitment. :(
And as for my hack: Just PM me if you want it. God know I'm not gonna finish it. :p
